I will probably buy this because:
A. There's Dio.
B. There's Dio.
C. There's Lemmy.
D. There's Lemmy.
E. IT'S MOTHERF***IN' LEMMY AND DIO!

Also Tim Schafer is amazing. I loved Psychonauts with a passion. Please, let this be good.

All I can say is that if it doesn't have an Epic Battle set to Holy Wars or a saving-from-the-gallows scene set to Hallowed Be Thy Name, I'll be severely disappointed. But then, I'll be even more dissapointed if there is no Iron Maiden and Megadeth.

I would be disappointed if there will be no Madonna music in the game. But in regards to Maiden it all comes down to licencing.

Why would anyone be disappointed if there was less Madonna music in the world? And since when has Maiden or Megadeth been a problem with Licensing?

No idea if it ever had. But Double Fine doesnt have unlimited amounts of cash in their budget.

Imagine running around killing things to the sweet sweet tones of Hung up or Like a Prayer? Bliss i say.

I would prefer to hack my own ears off and peirce my eardrums. But then, thats just me.

And I think they have more than Harmonix did when it made Guitar Hero II.

And what the hell is that supposed to mean? Maiden are fucking Gods.

But I digress. This is not about Metal vs. Shitty Pop music.

This game is looking to attract the following people

Fans of Metal
Fans of Jack Black
Fans of Psychonauts
Fans of Guitar Hero
Fans of RTS's
Fans of God Of War

Is there anyone, anywhere, who does not fit into one of the aboves?

What? I thought it was just an action adventure. Does it have strategy elements as well?

Where did you get the Guitar Hero/RTS's ideas from? I havent managed to find anything about gameplay.

As long as it is easier then the final level of Psychonauts i am completely fine with any gameplay design choice what so ever.

You can control Metal Minions you've defeated, thats about all I know. I'm not quite sure how its implemented. However, as its described it does sound like a few RTS elements.

As I said above, from what it sounds like, They are including RTS.

And Guitar Hero is more for the concept than the gameplay.

People with no soul, that's who.
And yes, the game seems to have some strategy elements but I'd guess they're more along the lines of a simpler Kingdom Under Fire thang. Console action strategy.

Jack Black may be a bit of a sellout from time to time, but in a heavy metal themed Game, i cannot imagine a better lead voice.

Seriously? How about a man who epitomises metal at his very core, say, Dave Mustaine?

I'm not saying yes or no but I'm wondering, does Dave Mustaine have experience in comedy?
In b4 "does Jack?"

He's appeared in episodes of Duck Dodgers, The Drew Carey Show, and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, so no.

And Bruce Dickinson hasn't had any real experience in Comedy, but his natural showmans flair would easily make up for it.

Fair enough. But, as it has yet to be demonstrated well, we have yet to see.

And you're right, there really aren't enough games made for Republicans (I have prepared the flame shield, but not the bullet shield, so I'm in trouble)

Someone likes their metal. Did you go and see maiden when they toured Australia?

Wait you are Australian are you?

Tim Schaefer could shit in a box and send it out and I would pay money for it. This game will ROCK . . . literally. ^_^ Now if only more people had played Psychonauts . . .

Wild Horses couldn't have kept me away. The thing that did keep me away was my mums birthday, So I went on the Sunday. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life, despite Lauren fucking Harris and that shit Emo band. O.k., maybe Harris wasn't that bad, but the Emo band was.

But I would think people would have guessed my feeling vis a vis Metal due to my Avatar.

Speaking of Tim Schaffuer(forgive spelling) Does anyone here think that if this game is a dud in the marketplace that Double Fine will go out of Business(Like Interplay and Troika(again forgive spelling)?

Maybe. Hopefully BL will sell better than Psychonauts through better exposure (like a cover story on Game Informer), and hopefully just cuz it's an awesome game as well.

I wonder if Double Fine is making money from Psychonauts downloaded from X-Box Live?

Yeah, but a profit doesn't mean the game was a raging success. Covering their expenses is not any companies marketting stratedgy

This game looks awesome! They've got Lemmy doing voice-work. Lemmy! The only thing that could make it any better is if they have the final boss battle set to 'Fear Of The Dark' by Maiden. Or 'Orion', by Metallica. Now that would be amazing.

Agreed. As they quit Lucasarts after they decided to sell out and just make Star Wars games, I'm guessing that they are now more either Market Share driven or more into niche expansion and domination. (Thats Marketing talk, its fine if you don't understand it)What this means is that they'll probably withstand a couple of blows to the bankroll if it means they can win more people over to the "games should be creative, and can be funny" side.

I'm sorry j-e-f-f-e-r-s, but I feel I must break my promise of not speaking to you again and say that I totally and positively agree with what you just said about Bruatal Legend( I'm also sorry about what happened yesterday about calling you a "Titty Britty" know matter how gay it seems and I hope that we can be friends or at least aquaintences). Also please forgive the spelling and grammar.

I have to disagree. While Fear and Oion are songs that would be perfect for the game, they wouldn't be the best Final Boss battle songs. For that, we must look at things like The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg, Holy Wars...The Punishment Due (anyone who calls it just Holy wars is only referring to half a song), Hero's Return, In My World, or even, dare I say it, My Spirit Will Go On. Real epic Metal.
