Drowning Pool were the group, and the song was Bodies. They never did recover after the sudden (And drug-unrelated) death of their lead. Shame. Can't think of any specific characters and songs, but I'm under the belief that anything in a game, regardless of how boring or horrific or awesome can only be improved by killing off the sound and music and just playing Yakkity Sax (AKA the Benny Hill theme) on a continuous loop. Try it. |

I was also thinking that Wherever I May Roam by Metallica would suit Rogues or Hunters in WoW. Or any other similar character. |

Well, Dante (DMC) works really well with the main theme from DMC3, but seeing as that's not the point of this, I'd have to say... crap... uh... really any hard rock and/or speed metal song would work for him. Also, "Under the Influence" by Rusty Cooley kind of works for Leon Belmont, from "Castlevania: Lament of Innocence." Many parts of the song have a very Castlevania vibe to them. |

Beat Writer Posts: 177 Joined: 12 Mar 2008 | GTA should be obvious. The song is about Axl's first time in LA (edit: written about LA not about a trip to LA) and as soon as he stepped off the bus some one told him "You know where you are? You're in the Jungle. You're gonna die." (edit: Song written in Seattle about his first trip to New York) So it was a play on that and if you listen to the lyrics of the song they do kinda fit. Wish is being used to describe Kratos' relationship with Ares. Maybe Before I forget should be for Desmond Miles and not Altair, makes more sense that way. Mostly looking at the fact that Desmond knew these things and didn't know about it. Know Your Enemy for Jack, because of the twists in the games plot. |

Tee-hee-hee... Breaking Benjamin wrote a song for the Halo 2 soundtrack. ("Blow Me Away" on the soundtrack album; an instrumental version played in the Mausoleum battle.) And they're the ones who approached Bungie, by the way. As for a character leitmotif, how about the Eagles' "Life in the Fast Lane" for Niko in GTA4? -- Steve |
