I got the special edition because I'm a sucker for the shiny cases they come in, and I don't regret pre-ordering the game. Some of you guys can be disappointed if you want, but I'm still going to have a blast this Tuesday. |

Pulitzer Laureate  Posts: 925 Joined: 25 Jan 2008   | WELL.... The video didn't really show off any of the new features that I'm looking forward to in GTA4. Like the way you can call the police. Or the new GoW style combat system. Or the fact that you can enter comedy clubs and listen to routines by Paxton Fettel... The guy is completely wasting the opportunity to show us any of the new features that make the game more interesting than it's predecessors. Plus the main reason that I really want to play GTA4 is it's going to be the most polished version of one of the best games ever made. I'm still expecting the world from GTA4, I just wish this idiot could of showed us something a bit more interesting. The way it's been shot, the only reason he's released this video is to go "Hey guys! I'm playing GTA4!!!! And it's not out until TUESDAY! You guys have to wait a whole 5 MORE DAYS until you can play it! YOU SUCK AND I ROCK! etc etc. Knob that he probably is. EDIT: Paxten Fettel?!? I haven't even played FEAR for months! Um, anyway, I meant Patton Oswalt. I'm not changing it, because it's wierd and interesting. |

I figured, somehow, they would keep the core mechanics the same, aside from tightening them up alot. And as Strafe McGee says, the newer features and improvements aren't shown. Plus, even if there were no improvements aside from the graphics, I'd buy it - GTA 3, VC, and SA were all great, entertaining games, with huge bags of fun, and the new location should add more 'life' to the city and NPCs. The only problem with GTA 3 was its 'loose' controls (on the PC at least, dunno about the Xbox, etc) and its horroribly dated graphics. Storyline, characters, wide and varied environments packed full of detail, and the 'freedom' factor of GTA made them good. So long as they have these basics down, I'm sure the game will be great fun. |

After seeing a leak on youtube, I was truely impressed with sound and graphics, but gameplay looks more of the same, and I have got the £60 edition.
My main complaint is the cars still look like they handle like a drunk baby driver.
