Gone Gonzo Posts: 2366 Joined: 20 Dec 2007 | well these started popping out of nowhere, I'd imagine more GTA explosion or MKWii, but whatever. Anyway, I'd like some of the HL1 weapons back, like Satchel Charges and "Snarks" or w/e they were called... -and I'd like some kind of Gravity gun upgrade, but not to the point of unbalanced (like in that awesome part of HL1 right before the ending) Also, this is gonna be a spoilertastic thread, may want to edit your topic title. |

And don't damn well pad it out with lame tricks like vehicle sections or going back in the opposite direction. Also, expansion on the 'special features.' Like maybe offering us some decent unlockables like development movies, high-res concept art and such. And even some funny unlockables! |

I remember the start of Blue Shift, when some of the scientists were assholes to the security staff. Magnusson was probably the most infamous of the lot. |

Think about it she uses the portal to cause some combine soldier or strider fall from like 100 feet in the air to their doom. That or she is some kind of stealth fighter using the portals to sneak behind the combine. I wouldn't even care if it was all scripted. |

Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 24 Feb 2008 | Well, for starters, I want it to be a genuine, ahead of the pack next-next-gen game. Also, if it finds a way to make good on Gabe's promise that it'll set a new paradigm for gameplay I'll be too blissed out to care what happens in the story, though I'm sure whatever they come up with will be just fine. Also, I'd like to see G-Man survive. He's too good of a character to kill off. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 91 Joined: 7 Dec 2007 | I want G-Man explained, where he is from, who he is, who he works for, what he wants, etc... I think an epic showdown between him and Freeman would be great. I'm also hoping you find the portal gun in Episode 3. |

Not just an engrossing game, because Half Life already is that, but one that makes you feel as though you are there, more. Like Condemned, or Crysis. You get a real feeling when an RPG explodes at your feet. I don't know if it's the motion blur or a good screen rumble, but it's there. In Half Life 2 I just saw it happen. It looked nice and it was interesting, but it happened and nothing more. |

Yeah, at the end he should just say one dramatic sentence !AND! it should kinda should be made unclear who said it, leaving gamers all over the world to debate. User was banned for: Zero Punctuation: Mailbag Showdown. (Permanent) |

I want to see one (and only one) tough fight where you have use the crowbar. We always get the crowbar first, before the difficulty picks up to anything special. There should be a point far in where we have to use it for some reason. There should be plenty of sheds and cars to hide behind so there can be intense fire without you dying instantly. Techno music or similar in the background. It would be so sweet. |

So unlikely to the point that it will never happen. Shepherd was a character created not by Valve, but by Gearbox and Sierra. Opposing Force and Blue Shift were made by Gearbox and had no other affiliation with Valve other than bearing the Half-Life name, using the engine, and taking place in the same story universe. Effectively, Valve doesn't own the Opposing Force brand or anything affiliated with it, including the character Adrian Shepherd. Besides, at the end of Opposing Force he's killed. At least, it's presented to us in that way. (Gman sends him, without weapons or even his combat suit, to some location in Xen filled to the brim with hundreds of Xeno-fauna, all of whom looked rather pissed to see Shepherd there.) However, there is some hope. A group of indie-developers within the mod community is making a Half-Life 2 based sequel to Opposing Force. I'm not sure of the statis of the game, but you can check www.moddb.com for info. I'm not sure if it's still listed there, but it was last time I checked. And for the love of God why are there so many of these repeat threads and why are so many STILL going under the title of "blah blah Half-Life 3 blah blah"?! Hasn't it be blatantly established that the next and final game is called Half-Life 2: Episode 3? Is there some stigma that since there's titles like Halo 3 and the like that Half-Life has to naturally follow the same pattern? And, why do people keep asking the same questions with each thread? People really need to start checking other threads so they don't keep posting the same things over and over. I'm sure most of you don't want to be stuck with nothing but, "Favorite this..." and "Worst that..." or "Some question, asked not a week ago, asked again!" threads in this forum. |

One filled with clone soldiers, not so much creepy girls and wierd weaponary nearing the end. Too bad about how it ended out, damn lawsuit... What I would like to see is no new characters who coincidently worked in Black Mesa, I have no interest in meeting the guy with a dark past who was actually the guy in the cafeteria. Maybe more types of enemies, not just reskinned antilions or more hordes of headcrab zombies, fast zombies, zombines or god forbid headcrab dogs. Also, Alyx should never attempt any form of comedy ever again. |

I have. It'd make a change from having almost wall-to-wall scientists. |

I want the Vorts to revive Eli by some all powerful Vort god!!!1!!1 But, I don't think that's gonna happen...
Anyways, whatever Eli had to say to Gordon at the end of Episode Two better be said by someone. Which someone? I don't really care!!
And can they explain the REAL reason for G-man bothering the crap out of us all??!!?!?!?? (And his name!)
