Shame. I wanted to see Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 with Xbox backwards compatibility. |

There's no money in it for them though, so why would they bother? |

well we paid for the games first time round, and two of their consoles. |
Red Guard Posts: 1554 Joined: 21 Feb 2008 | Firstly, they lost money on both consoles, secondly it is not Microsoft's fault that you have a small room. |

All of the original Xbox games is a bit much, since they're at the point where essentially every single game would require individual emulation code to make it work. However, there are some Xbox gems that really deserve emulation, and a release on Xbox Originals. Beyond Good and Evil is one such. Also, Otogi and Otogi 2. |

Thats true, but they could at least do it out of kindness, otherwise its like Yahtzee said, "a load of bullshit and chips". |

Muckraker Posts: 286 Joined: 21 Feb 2008 | I doubt that Microsoft is concentrating a lot of time on updating the backward compatibility list. At first I thought they were trying to get all of the best selling games done first then fill in the rest, but over time the list just seemed random. I'm not really affected since my tragically small library of Xbox games were among the first on the list, but this is really bad for the people who have a lot of Xbox games, sell their Xbox for an Xbox 360, only to find out later that half of their games don't work. |
Pulitzer Laureate Posts: 827 Joined: 22 Aug 2006 | For whatever reason, my XBOX games were rather eclectic. Deathrow and Steel Battalion are two games which I simply cannot in good conscience abandon. The one good/bad thing about Steel Battalion is that it's a known quantity. I can see why they might not make it BC (because the resources would probably gain them few sales, as the people that have SB probably already have a 360). BUT, if they released it as an Xbox Original, with support for non-giant controller support, but also with compatibility for the original controller through USB... they'd have a guaranteed base level of sales to measure profitability against, with a whole bonus market of people that would love to try the game, but never had the money to blow on the whole shebang. I know, I know... isn't going to happen. But a guy can dream, right? |
Muckraker Posts: 315 Joined: 17 Apr 2008 | I'd like games that are on the emulation list to work. I've inserted Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters (both of which are on the list) into my updated console (both via disc, and LIVE updates) and it still claims that the disc is some foreign object of such alien origin that I may have as well inserted the obelisk from 2001. :P Although I am glad that I didn't pay for The Lost Chapters, and only borrowed it. |

Er, Fable should work. If not, just get it on XBox Originals. |

Yeah I was just wishing. Nilcypher's probably right about it being a low priority now. But we can still dream. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1093 Joined: 9 Dec 2007 | I would also like an obscure title from a console I didn't even bother to play to be converted into a same title which I can play on my 360; despite the huge numbers of great new games out for the latest generation, all with quickly declining prices. Yeah. |

Paperboy Posts: 27 Joined: 28 Apr 2008 | um... how about all of them. my PS3 plays all my PS2 and PS1 games (bought a backwards compatable one from ebay for like $400) and still, the PS2 can play all the PS1 games, so what gives M$? I personally want the Timesplitters games Backwards compatable, plus I really want to sell my xbox already |
