is it just me or do these people really piss you off, or am i just crazy? do they honestly expect you to go through pages, of pages, of fucking pages to see if a thread has been done before. i can understand the need to try and inform people, but no one does that here, they just sound really fucking snobby. maybe it's just some guy that wants to start a friendly topic that may have been done three or four months ago, and then you chime in, never even responding to the actual question, put just stopping in to say "hey, hasn't this already been done!? this is fucking lame" (then leaving, to infect another thread...)
i would have to respond, no... your fucking lame, because you chose to take two minutes out of your time to tell someone something so trivial, and believe me it is "trivial" that most likely darkened their day, and made them feel like shit for the rest of it, and for some, probably increasing their notion that humans are fucking stupid. (i'm not talking about me, either)
anyway, this isn't a hate thread, it's just a "what the fuck?" thread. i would put in a poll, but really... what's the point? the only thing worse than these people are the grammer nuts, i like to spell things right and put proper punctuation where need be just as much as the next guy, but come the fuck on.
but that's a topic for another time i suppose

See up there? In the right hand corner? The little button marked search? It has a function you know.

This is more fit for the off-topic disscussion board, but still.
There is such a thing as a search button, i use it (not sure if it's a good way to find other threads but still)

And usualy, the people who say "hasn't this been done before?" have good reason to.

For example, when Brawl was released (2 days after it's release mind you!) we've had a billion "What characters don't you like?" or "Who shouldn't be in Brawl?" or even "Who do you think shouldn't be in brawl?" They've been done a million times in a day within each other.

And proper grammar is always essential, how would we understand you if you kept on talking "l3E7 s63ak3"?

People should put some effort to making sure what their posting is new, but it's understandable to occasionally remake an old thread. Especially if the older thread is really old or doesn't contain any logical keywords.
If you don't bother putting in the time to even make a quick search, be prepared for what other people are going to say.

actually, i knew YOU would respond because i see you all over the forum saying "hasn't this been done brefore?" and you were the one person that finally broke the last straw, your comment in a previous thread made me want to start this thread. you're one of the big boy "htbdb?" you and 4343434343434343, or whatever his name is

Not really, unless its clearly a troll & not a legitimate "dude its been done already leave it at that"

hailmagus:
this isn't a hate thread

hailmagus (aimed at the "has it been done before people):

your fucking lame,

no one does that here, they just sound really fucking snobby

Its a strong dislike thread then.

The internet is serious business :rolls eyes:. If you dont like someones comment just ignore it. Comments like too long; didnt read, expressing the number of your reply (I dont wanna give an example coz ill get banned) etc really shouldnt get to people the way you imply they do

all i do is basically comment in the game topics, so i thought this would be somewhat appropriate. second if what you say is true about the ssbb threads, what the fuck do you care? if you've already commented on one, then it doesn't matter, it's easy, just stay the fuck away from the others. it isn't your job to regulate the threads.let things fall into disarray, noble warrior

Yeah, I thought it might have been. That was actually the only time I've ever done it, fyi. Not that it matters anyway since this thread'll be locked by tomorrow.

The occasional repeats of forum topics would be forgivable if it weren't for the handy search button we have. With it there, there is really no reason other than laziness to make a thread that's been done before.

It's important to only have one or two threads for a topic so that people don't have to search through multiple threads to see what people have to say about something. When it's all in one place, they are able to read any and all input on the matter with minimal effort, as well as post in an area that more people are likely to read.

The revival of an old topic is better than starting a new one because there may have been some valid points made in the old one, which would likely be lost if people started flocking to the more recent thread.

Oh, and hailmagus, it's called an edit button. You might want to try it out.

when you do search it often doesnt come up with an accurate topic, an example would be when i made a thread about COD4 or a simelar shooter and the first response was "this has been done, look at the fucking search bar" but i had searched before hand and not a single thread came up.

if you guys are done, i'm done. all we're doing is fueling each others rage/ego. i created a thread to ask questions that i had for myself of what goes through peoples minds when they make comments about grammer, punctuation, and "previous references" and the only person that actually gave me a true person-to-person answer was "calobi" for that i thank him/her.
i make no apologies for anything i've said on this thread because everyone here (with the exception of calobi) is guilty of being a dick, including myself. so when i come back we can keep this going, and i'll keep retorting, i don't really care. i'll be the scape-goat.

I think all those criticizers should join the military so they can become even bigger dicks. There is a point were helpfulness becomes insulting. And usually one is just a disguise for the other. Oh well, based on their personalities they are going to get what they deserve; divorce, kids that hate them, and bullets.
