Well, like the title states, it has been all but guaranteed at this point. The rumors that there is; A: A really big announcement for the Wii coming up; and B: That a new Kid Icarus game in the works; has of course led many people (including me) to believe that Kid Icarus is the big announcement. Now, I really hope I'm not the only one here who wants this to happen. Here is a link to a small bit of info about the possible game.

Obviously, I want to here all your opinions on this.

As usual, gametrailers is my source. Also, I did search, but couldn;t find atopic on this. If there is one, sorry, and link to it please!

Edit: Link to Kombo is in the article, but I'm posting it here as well because some of the concept art they have is really cool.

well....OK but why would they even attempt to use a 30 year old tough Ash (evil dead) looking Pit? Even if it's different concepts...come on. Stick with Manga Pit.

Well, they could be going for a direct sequel to one of the two best endings to the Original, which would mean that he was a teenager at the end of the game (after Paulina aged him). Also, it's been 21 years since the original, and even if she turned him back into a kid, there is chance (a slim one) that Factor5 is actually taking that into consideration, and so aged him.

Or developers suddenly decided to make the intervals between sequels' stories as long as the actual interval between their releases. If thatīs the case, next time weīre going to see Duke Nukem saving Earth, heīll have to use his wheelchair mounted miniguns...

Anyway, I'd be rather interested in the general level design the game's going to have. If theyīre going to use a "above-the-clouds-look-how-pwetty!" style I can already feel my eyes hurting from the nuclear explosion like bloom.

Well, then thanks god it's for the Wii, which can't process huge amounts of bloom to the point of "My Eyes! They're melting!"

Well since I donīt own a Wii I must admit my knowledge about itīs technical limitations are somewhat ...limited. What I (despite the fact that I'll probably never play this game) hope is that they don't mess up the flying sections, because that'd probably ruin the whole game. I'm also curious how they'll manage the fighting, whether it'll resemble his moves from SSBB or you're just going to sniper your way through the levels.

I wouldn't be surprised if the flying sections were on rails (Think final level in original Kid Icarus). Also, in all the concept art, it's the Blade Bow. I'd have to hope that they implement it, and have both close and distance combat.

Yeah this is just as obvious as an up and ocming star fox sequel for the Wii. Cmon THREE characters? Since pit was such a pussy i would never be able to play one of his games..

I never had too much fun playing the original kid icarus, sadly.. Then again I was young and got bored of going up up up up and nothing happening. Maybe I should try it again .....

Me neither, strangely.

D'you think the player will have to use Wiimote + Nunchuk to pull the bowstring? I sure hope not, because that would be extremely tiring after some time...

Yeah, all that resistance the Wiimote and Nunchuck provide would get me tired as well. But seriously, if he has the blade bow then he'll probably be meleeing more than shooting it.

Does that concept art remind anyone else of Keith Courage?

Yeah, an on-rails flyer would be pretty good with the Wii remote's aiming ability. I hope melee doesn't play a huge role, because knowing the Wii remote, it'll be a mess.
