Legend of the Dragoon. I loved the first game. I think the Additions were kickass, if not a little hard to master the final ones.

The Neverhood (Skullmonkeys doesn't count)

and Team Buddies - the most innovative, foul-mouthed RTS/3rd person action shooter evar.

I don't know if this thread has been done before, but I would love to see a sequels to XIII on a next gen (current gen now I guess) system. I would also like to see another Crimson Skies game and a sequal to the highly, highly underrated Metal Arms: Glitch in the System.

With all do respect actually there was one two months back on March 25th.
"Why don't we have a sequal yet?" http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.56322?page=1
(I thought I posted Beyond: Good & Evil 2 before...)

That aside...
A River City Ransom remake or sequal would be totally sweet, Gunstar: Heroes(At least 2-player so I don't account the DS verison)and also Road Rash.(I've heard loose heresay/rumors of Road Rash getting a new game in being in the planning stages truthfulness unknown).

OriginalUsername:
I'd love a new sparkster game, on the DS preferably.

So would I.

Jovlo:
What really needs a sequel though is Beyond Good & Evil.
This game blew me out of my socks. Never played anything like it!
The plot was amazing and the artistic design was some of the best I've seen.
The characters were so real and lovable... I could go on for ages.
If you haven't played this and you're lucky enough to find it somewhere, buy it, you won't regret it for a second.

Preaching to the choir man.

The Potato Lord:
Mine are more recent but these games need sequals:
Assassin's Creed(despite some annoyances it was a terrific game)

I hear they are working on a trilogy for it.

I believe there was a second but a newier one would probally be amasing.

It's crazy how games have just now caught up with Shenmue graphic detail a decade later. And the fact you could do kenpo or w/e as a real life activity was awsome.

In no particular order:

KOtOR 3 - No explanation needed. Just make sure it's BioWare this time.
Descent 4 - Loved the first three and there is nothing AT ALL like them in existence.
MechCommander 3 - The second wasn't as good, but keep to the gameplay of the original with 3D graphics and no bugs and you can't go wrong.
MechWarrior 4 - Different from MechAssault 2, but I did like the movement in 2. It was more fluid.
Doom 4 - Less tension, more action and intelligent AI.
Turok - Died with the N64.
Star Wars Republic Commando 2 - Squad mates had some brilliant dialogue.
Little Big Adventure 3 - Simple but addictively fun.
Jade Empire 2 - Can't remember whether it was announced or not.
Command & Conquer 3 - By Westwood damnit!

All I can remember at the moment.

And homeworld wasnt?

No, the Homeworld series will always be the definitive space RTS series that every other will be held again. Alright, the story for two was shite but the gameplay was next to perfect. HW is simply that good.

most of these suggestions are good ones. but i have one no one has said yet...
Freedom fighters 2! with a much more interactive and free roaming world, more realistic physics/combat and an internet multiplay mode with several different game modes!

How come no-one'e mentioned Beyond Good and Evil yet? There's a game that deserves a sequel...

Ancel has said he's working on it, but Ubi has yet to make a final decision. At least, last I heard.
I agree fully, though. A game that tells a story that well deserves to have a better story to tell, maybe one that actually goes beyond good & evil this time.

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.

Despite the gameplay flaws and bugs the game, I'd like to see the announced sequels. Unfortunately, the developer folded a year or so ago, so it's not gonna happen.

X-wing/TIE-Fighter - Seriously, a stream of crappy SW games over the last decade, but no sequel to these gems?

What bugged me was the hanging family plot thread at the end of X-Wing: Alliance. Oh, and the fact the Battle of Endor was done badly(Was it really so difficult to use the Lando Sound clips from the film, or at least get a better voice actor?).

That said, Loongest Journey 3 will hopefully drop the "action" bit and stick to pure adventure. The fighting sequences in Dreamfall were deeply awkward.

Apparently, Dreamfall is going to be concluded by a series of episodic games. Fun.com already has the funding from the Norwegian government, last I heard.

Blast Corps - There is no other game exactly like it, and blowing up buildings and stuff using mechas is scheduled to be back in vogue this summer (see: Iron Man).

Dude that game was freakin amazing, i never did manage to get platinum on all levels, i think i was missing those 2 pacman level medals (i hated them cos i'd always get with in 2 seconds of the platinum time limit EVERY TIME) but agreed, Rareware made incredible games and that would have had an awesome sequel!

YES

YES YES YES

Also, Advent Rising. Only do it well this time. That game had a cliffhanger of Halo 2 magnitude.

Im quite distressed that people have forgoten to mention Outcast (probrabley the best action adventure game of all time considering its intelligent story line, good gameplay and graphics which were amazing back when it was released)

Yeah im so dissappointed they went bust before they could make the sequel, it still remains my favourite game of all time.

There is an unofficial sequel being made on the Crysis engine incase you didnt know. Will take an age to be completed though seeing as its being made by fans in their spare time.

dead rising 2

Hells yes. Also Second Sight 2, anyone who has played it knows how great it is. War of the Mosters 2, Unholy War 2- an old game on the ps1, great fun though, Primal Rage 2- this one was on the Sega mega drive, needs an update. FEAR 2- not just an expansion. Bioshock 2, The Darkness 2, etc. How's about a new Mortal Kombat that doesn't suck turd sandwiches? Remembering the joy MKII brought to my youth...

Micro Machines was one of my big favorites on the PC and Playstation, I'd like to see a new iteration. It would even suit the Wii's target audience.
