It is basically a bust-a-move game with a great 2 player versus mode (featuring loads of weapons), and a catchy soundtrack. Many may have been put off since it really wasn't a "worms" game, but Ive still had so many great moments with it in the multiplayer. I hope it will come on xbox live arcade someday. |

So sad, but so true... |
Paperboy Posts: 26 Joined: 24 Apr 2008 | Wavy Navy - a game on my Apple IIe. It was simple, it was awesome, it was green and black. I was young enough to still have a bed time and I remember being jealous of my father who would put us to bed, creep into the basement and then play some more! Another game I love and was ecstatic to be able to download on the Wii (which makes me think others MUST have played it too, even though no one EVER knows what I am talking about!) is The Legend of Kage - such a silly game, repetitive, annoying music, but it has always entertained me! |

Don't know if I said this already, but Giants: CK was a funny game with an interesting if not entirely successful play style. A pity they haven't made G:CK 2, cus I think they were onto something. |

Gun- A 3rd person shooter set in the Wild West, altough it is not as open-worlded as it claims ( It was described as "GTA in the Wild West") it's still fun especially the horseback shootouts. |
Beat Writer Posts: 201 Joined: 23 Apr 2008 | Actually, tell a lie, Armed and Dangerous was pretty much G:CK 2, although I missed the base building elements, heh, but the humour was still there. |

Ah, Evil Genius - a wonderful idea, with a reasonable execution. |

Indeed, the fall of LucasArts was a horrible shame, as Yahtzee implied once (in his Pyschonaunts review, I think). The clever, smart, fun games from them were great. |

There is not question though if anyone else has every played that game, it was a huge success. My game would be Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. It only sold about 50.000 copies and around that time they took the price down too 15$ or something and I don't know what happened after that. User was banned for: Zero Punctuation: Mailbag Showdown. (If you haven't, don't, unless you're a borderline suicidal desperately looking for one last thing to push you over the edge...) Also, did anyone besides me ever even touch the GBC Pokemon TCG? I know that's horrible and sad and pathetic, but seeing as I've never met anyone else who played it, I still wonder.:P |
Copy Clerk Posts: 67 Joined: 1 May 2008 | I was sure I was the only person I knew who had or had played Wild Arms but one of my friends at uni saw it in my games collection and demanded to see the opening sequence. I love that opening sequence. Sergio Leone, very much so. Devil Dice and the sequel Bombastic, which is much much better. Musashi: Samurai Legend - no one knows what the hell I'm talking about. I still play it today! I'm waiting on a sequel, GODDAMMIT! Spectral VS Generation - I LIKED IT. It was cheap and cheerful and was really only worth the eight quid I paid for it but it was eight quid, what do you expect? GTA5? No. Exactly. Definitely worth a quick punt. Mr Domino (or NO ONE CAN STOP MR DOMINO!) - I loved this when it first came out... now I'm a little perplexed as to why it takes me six or seven goes to get past the first level again. Granstream Saga - I coulda sat on a typewriter and written a better story but it was a charming little RPG, albeit in a slightly Yaroze kinda way (anyone remember the Yaroze?! Yaroze demos on the OPSM demo discs!!!! My God, that's taking me back...) Bloody Roar - I don't know ANYONE that's heard of it. The first one absolutely rocked. The later ones not so much. Also, I played Future Cop LAPD! I found it for £3.99 in Game's Pre-Owned section and I HAD TO HAVE IT. It's another hidden gem that everyone should play. I remember playing the demo level for months cos I loved it that much. I used to time myself on that one level alone and when I got the game about six years later, I totally outdid my time on that level cos I remember where everything was, where the enemies were and how to save all my ammo. How sad does that make me? That's rhetorical, by the way. SHUSH. |

Isn't that the game where one of the fighters changes into a rabbit? |
Copy Clerk Posts: 99 Joined: 9 May 2008 | Raid on Bungling Bay, an old Broderbund NES game. My grandparents gave it to me for Christmas. Years later IGN did a feature wherein they had developers comment on some of their earliest games, and the lead designer didn't even recognize it. It was so obscure, I'm pretty sure it showed up in Strongbad's disk case in one episode. Obscurity aside, it was also one of the worst games I've ever owned. Uncle-rapingly bad. |

Oh how I loved this game. Unfortunately I know nothing about the voice, because I didn`t have the CD version (yes kids, back in ye olden days you had to buy the deluxe Compact Disc version and actually have a drive to play it on to hear the dialogue). As for me - `Darklands`. An RPG by the legendary-yet-now-defunct Microprose Studios, taking place in medieval Germany, with all the folklore and Christian beliefs. Imagine that instead of casting spells you pray to actual saints for guidance or help. Or instead of fighting some nameless evil you fight Satan, the man himself. It was something different. The game is full of bugs, but it`s worth overlooking them. I think it`s become legally downloadable now, I recommend you try it, if you have the patience. |

I loved it. Only because the Mole was INCREDIBLY overpowered. Three slashes and my brother was down. Puzzle Fighter Turbo II (especially PRE-PSX/XBOX Live) was my favorite game of all time for a majority of my life. Ren and Stimpy on the SNES (......I found this ridiculously hard as a 7 year old) This FANTASTIC Japanese Ps1 game where its multiplayer (I think 8 people max if you had the extension for the controllers). The basic idea was to not die within the time limit while throwing Rocks/Triangular bombs at people in a variable amount of landscapes (there was a Maoi one where they bit you, one with a LASER robot in the middle and another where a Big Rock turned into a gigantic dinosaur...) ...I thought it was pretty awesome back in the day. Also a PS1 Japanese running game where you were extremely tiny and ran around things like Toilet Bowls and the Desk of some guy. It was like Katamari minus the rolling. |

I always wanted that game. But when I decided I did want to play it, suddenly the price of it went sky high(?)
Had the 2nd. Loved it. But the 3rd one stank. Cos' once you played DOA2 and Soul Calibur, just about every other fighter felt extremely limited and dated.
Lol, did she play the game with you? That would have been great. Funnily enough I'm one of the few hard-core adventure gamers that didn't enjoy it quite as much as everyone else did. Fantastic game though, just didn't quite click with me.
Yeah, that game ruled 2-players. The gba version was really good too. I'm considering getting the Dreamcast version at a later date.
Yep, I played that to death back in the day. Loved exploring the locations also. I even used to sing to the cheesy songs playing in the background. |

That would be Alice. She was always my favourite (behind Long - shame about the personality but who WOULDN'T wanna turn into a Tiger given the chance?) Bakuryu was the mole, wasn't he? I coulda SWORN he was really old in the first game and yet suddenly turned into some sort of ninja-esque teenager. And since when was FOX a bloke?! I never, EVER knew that till about three months ago!!! I still have Puzzle Fighter on the PSOne. I originally bought it when it came out, sold it for seventy quid and then bought it again for six quid in Game. I still had the save on my memory card... I loved the little intermissions. They made me howl originally! |

I still play Descent 1 & 2. They released some files not too long ago that converts the game into an OpenGL game that allows you to play it on XP and Vista. It runs quite well too. From what I've heard there are still people who play online with Descent 3, though I haven't got that one. |

I believe I do indeed mean "The Dig"! Lucasarts was one of the great games companies before it sold out and the most talented developers left to start their own company and the remainder started doing endless Star Wars remakes...
