The Getaway (the first one)
Dead to Rights (again, the first one)
Street Fighter (I don't care what the fanboys think. A home console next-gen version would be awesome.)

I'd really rather they came up with new things than did remakes, I mean look at the film industry... but since you asked:

Get Dexter/Crafton&Xunk (1&2),
Captain Blood,
The Dizzy games (they could all be combined into one huge adventure),
Total Eclipse 1&2 & Driller,
Starglider,
Rebelstar/Chaos/Laser Squad (especially Chaos, multiplayer over the internet),
Gauntlet,
Another World,
Zombies ate my Neighbours,
Contra,
Smash TV,
Double Dragon,
System Shock 2,
MurderDeathKill,
Bloodwych/Hexx,
Alien vs Predator, 1 and/or 2,
The Max Paynes,
Tomb Raider... oh, wait..

Yeah yeah I know, I'm old. If you haven't heard of some of these and are curious, look them up. DON'T try to play them now, they're old and shitty by today's standards, you will Not be impressed, unless you're on a nostalgia trip (and even then you risk ruining your fond memories). I'm of the opinion that done right they all have the potential to make awesome expanded re-makes using todays technology.

Star Fox and the Panzer Dragoon titles... damn but I need a good arcade-style flight sim/rail shooter.

I'd also love to see Meteos on the Wii
And the only FF that needs to be redone with next gen graphics is FF6... not in terms of an "FF6 Was awesome and everything after that sux!!!" attitude, but because after hearing "Darkness and Starlight" seeing the Opera completely overhauled would kick ass!
Why do people keep saying SotC? Those graphics were gorgeous...

Can't really think of any others, mostly because I'd rarely find a reason to buy the same game twice just because one has better graphics.

Silent Hill 1&2 (graphics/voice acting only, maybe a few new puzzles, but same story)
Twisted Metal Black
Hitman series, not just Bloodmoney (including the first one that was PC only)
Doom II
System Shock 1&2
Star Wars: Dark Forces
Worms 2 (not a sequel to it, remake that one!)

And my personal guilty pleasure which will never be remade: Postal 2

Well speaking of SotC - I used an Emulator for my PS2 so I could play that game on my PC, and holy shit, I didn't even recognize it, it really did look like it was almost but not quite next gen.

Half Life (Opfor and blue shift would be nice too, and yes I am aware of the blackmesa mod.)
Deus Ex, obviously
Golden eye 007 for the N64, I'm surprised I haven't seen it here.

I think an SSX remake that takes the gameplay of the original without so much flash that the sequels had would be more than exceptional. Especially the "Untracked" course... wow, that'd be beautiful. Hmm... Secret of Mana... and Pilotwings/Pilotwings 64.

No games. Because most of the time when game designers re-make games for next-gen consoles, they tend to make them terrible. They try to add new features and things like that but the only thing they succeed in doing is making the game sucking heavily.

A remake of G police (PS1) would be awesome.

oh christ,

Zool
Streets of Rage
Sonic 1 and 2 (graphic update and sound update only, change the levels in anyway and I would be in the pitchfork and torch crew)
Super Mario Bros. 3
FF7 (I know, I know! but it deserves mentioning)
FF8
Legacy of Kains - Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver 2 because the settings for the levels are crying out for achingly good graphics,
Silent Hill,
Crash Team Racing,
C&C Red Alert
Spellforce: Order of Dawn
Theme Hospital
Theme Park
Metroid Prime (The Gamecube one)
Jax and Daxter :)

I'd really like to see a new Onimusha game, but a real Onimusha game, not that anime-cutesy DoD. Yuk.

A Beyond Good and Evil sequel.

I would still like to see Core's cancelled TR Anniversary game. It looked more like the game TR fans have been asking for since the PS2 came out--one that was a true "remake" and not a "re-visioning."

I think we all know the obvious answer for this, Broken Sword 1&2 for DS.

TomNook:
*dons flame retardant armor* I would love to see a Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal remake on the DS.

Actually I wouldn't mind seeing that also, the series got to a mediocre level from after those games.

Hmm my suggestions would be
Jet Force Gemini
or Bomberman 64 both for the Wii

I'd love a new Freelancer (or something like it...a n00b friendly space sim, shock! horror!)

This is a game which just hasn't been replaced...probably has something to do with the fact that it is/was the most easily pirated game evar.

I'd love to see another Bushido Blade[PSX]. There was Bushido Blade 2 of course (I didn't like it as much for some reason). Mostly the idea of a sword fighting game that was a little bit more realistic (hey look, my sword isn't 2000 pounds and glowing with a silly blue light while my stupid character rants about how his parents were eaten by the mole people). Me and my brother in our younger years just loved those first two games. I know there have been some spiritual successors, but they were all pretty much panned by every review I've ever read, including a couple of my friends.
Soul Calibur 4? Pshaw! Bring on Bushido Blade 3! Or any decent hit-to-kill sword fighting game.

On a bit of a side note I swear that the first disc of Xenogears was crack. I took one hit, and I'd really, really like to have another. Finish up the second disc, do a direct sequel, Xenosaga was disappointing.

Homeworld 2.
'Cept I'd give it more units, a longer storyline, like 2 more civilizations and more maps.
Fore those who have played: can you imagine a level taking place in the high-atmosphere? A Dangerzone near the bottom of the level where big ships risk falling to the planet and where debris falls down instead of drifting aimlessly?

I agree with Shadow of the Colossus. When me and my buddies completed it all we could talk about was "That game would be 10x more epic on a next-gen system". Then we got a bit ahead of ourselves and actually figured out a versus mode, in which you take control of a colossus each, and basically kick the living daylights out of each other. Of course, all this rendered in sweet, sweet 1080p, and with rocks chipping off the colossi. Now that, is what I call delicious.

Oh HELL yeah, seconded. I bought the GBA version and liked it but it was limited, especially without the speech :(

I'd love to have Freedom Fighters remade for the next-gen consoles.

I'd also love the first two Socoms to be remade, along with Need for Speed: Underground 2.

I would love it if they re did Legend of Dragon and maybe give whatever the hell his girlfriend's name was a personality makeover and OMG THE VOICES. REDO THE VOICES.

FF8, definitely. I'd like it if they redid that, and definitely 9. Though I'll be quite honest and admit if they remade FF8, I'd spend the game trying to figure out how to undo Squall's belts. *facepalm*

KoToR 2: Transcendent! Also let them finish it this time.
Final Fantasy 6: Never played it, wouldn't mind doing so with future graphics.
Second Shadow of the Colossus if they make the bosses more intricate too.

Guys, They already remade Pokemon for the DS, It was called Diamond/Pearl.

All jokes aside, I second Dynamite Heady, I sunk Hours into that game when I was a kid. Metroid: Fusion for the DS would be good, we need an old-fashioned metriod for that system, no more of this "Prime" bullshit.I used to love Champions Of Norrath, and online play would only improve the party system, I am a rabid supporter of the first MGS being remade multiplatform, putting it on the gamecube was like a kick in the balls. Not KOTOR, however. That will only suck time away from the much needed KOTOR 3. I think the Star Wars Arcade game would be good on the wii, however. Actually, anything with first-person lightsabre duels on the wii would kick ass.
