I know some games keep it hard, Old Skool Style. Like Ninja Gaiden: Black. But what about the other 90% that's totally easy? I usually have to play on the hardest difficulty just to get my moneys worth.

Some games are just plain Easy, and there's nothing you can do. like New Super Mario Bros. I don't think its just me. That game is way to easy. Take away the save fuction or hold out on those green mushrooms atleast. What's the point of playing if the game isn't tough.

What's the easiest game you ever played?

Knights of the Old Republic 2. I can't remember if I had +50 to every stat or 50 *in* every stat, but I was walking through the entire game.

It's hard to say... I've gotten a lot better at all games the last few years, so it's hard to keep everything to scale. Beh, I'll just say Big Rigs racing.

You Have to Burn the Rope.

As for games that aren't free, probably Fable.

Gearheads.

If you've never played it, look for it. Fun, addictive, its the first "Casual" style game I actually ever bought the full version of.

I can think of alot of games that weren't as challenging as I may have hoped, but recently?

Eternal Sonata. The linear battles were easy, and I was hoping for something more, found the secret dungeon, and even then I was dissapointed.Maybe I just had a good strategy, but I think in an RPG you should have to adapt and change up constantly, and I never had to change mine.

How many of you blew through it as well?

Katamari (all of them). You know they're for kids but still fun when you don't want a challenge.

The most unexpectedly easy game I have ever played has to be Tomb Raider: Legends. Come'on it's a fucking Tomb Raider game, they are supposed to be challenging. This one I got through in like 5 hours... it wasn't even worth buying.

Armored core 4 as when i got into it i realized that the grenade launcher takes all the difficulty out of killing on the masses. but to get top scores it is hard

The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning. The PS one games were harder than this. Just show that Krome Studios cant compete with Eurocom or even Insomniac Games. It was way to short, I beat it with 100% with in 3 and 1/2 hours. It was fun, I liked the new design just wish it was longer.

Crysis probably, I played it on Delta mode expecting to get my ass handed to me constantly but I just sailed through the game. The only part that posed a problem was the alien ship zero gravity thing but that was simply due to everything being so far away and moving. When I found out I could grab and hit the aliens I had no problems.

Legend of Mana on Normal

Everything but Tropicolo was an absolute cake walk.

Chrono Cross was similarly easy... except one or two bosses.

Crysis is far from the easiest game ever made. It's damn short, but my friend Patrick gets his ass pwned on the normal difficulty constantly. He died so often that I wanted to choke him for refusing to use the infinite life cheat.
Mine goes to Super Mario RPG. It's a great game, but dear god is it easy. I remember finding some aspects of it difficult when I was a kid, but now that I've played dozens of RPGs, this game is easier than taking a piss.
I guess my other vote goes to Peggle. The challenges are moderately challenging, but beating the game to get the first trophy takes like 2-3 hours if I'm not mistaken.
I've heard many complaints about the normal difficulties of Kingdom Hearts 2, and God of War being far too easy, but those are kind of stupid complaint since both games have a higher difficulty setting.

The Spongebob game for PS1. I finished it in 3 days, and that was when I was 10. Seriously, it was really easy... Thank god I rented it.

No. Contest.

Big Rigs wasn't easy, it just FAILED. INSANELY.

Easiest game for me was probably Army of Two. Almost impossible to die unless you physically separate to a point you can't reach each other.

Mass Effect after you get to level 50 as a Soldier/Commando with Damage Immunity. I stopped taking cover and just walked around like the Terminator shooting beat cops, even on Hardcore difficulty.

Yeah I wouldn't say easiest, but for armored core standards, I don't recall getting raped at all. In the other Armored Cores, the first few missions made you squeal like a piggy!

Final Fantasy VII, until i realized making Areth the most powerful spell user in the entire group. with that setback it took me less than a week to finish.

Gun.

And Fable. Those two are close. I don't think I ever died in either one of them. Definitely never died in Fable.

Strangely enough though, I still love both of those games. I beat Gun EIGHT TIMES. I just love the action in it... I beat Fable two or three times...fun stuff, just not challenging enough.

"The Great Waldo Search" on the Sega Genesis. Five levels. Five clicks on Waldo. Game over. I'm not joking.

If you go back further in time, though, there are SO MANY games on the old systems that you could just cheat your way through using the in-game bugs. Example: the best one I can remember is the truly awful port of Double Dragon on the C64, which is pretty much impossible unless you know the cheat. Go to the top of the screen, watch as the enemies follow you, then jump up. When you jump, enemies bizarrely try to follow you by walking up the screen (none of them can jump themselves). If you're already at the top of the screen, they'll spend the rest of the time trying to walk upwards while you stand just in range and pummel them. They can get knocked down as many times as you like and they'll still just keep trying to walk upwards without actually fighting back. This works on EVERY SINGLE ENEMY IN THE GAME, including the final boss. Just don't go back down the screen otherwise they'll follow you and beat you up.
