Paperboy Posts: 20 Joined: 20 Mar 2008 | Maybe I just suck at most games, as the only games I can play on the hardest ones are the Guitar Hero series, and the NFS series...maybe I just suck at shooters and RTSs. I think games are getting easier, especially with console games, because developers are triyng to go for the 'pick-up-and-play' dynamic. Saying that, apart from the Wii, I don't think I've ever found a mainstream game that anyone could just sit down and do alright on. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 4 Joined: 11 Jun 2008 | games are pushed to be simple in this day and age so that everyone can play them...but the easiest game I have EVER beaten? Probably the Harvest Moon 64...it was just impossible to fail obviously, but the women were simple to please and after awhile (once you got the greenhouse + a couple of cows to win the contest and get the special grade milk) money just came so vastly that I was able to put off weeks of in game farming and just go participate in events and fish ALOT...maybe that's just me though........come to think of it, got really bored of the game and stopped playing just before my uncle or w/e was supposed to return...hmm...oh well :D |

I beat the game in three afternoons all on weekdays(meaning I was still going to school), with an 8:00 bedtime, in grade 3, while unlocking everything. Either I was obsessive, or the game is pathetic. PS. to Mr. Bubbles, I doubt that flash games count |

And pretty much any turn based RPG is pretty easy. I mean, it's kind of hard to die when you've got a million healing potions laying around all over the place. That's not to say you don't die, but unless you're fighting a boss or something... unlikely. |

You're playing the wrong turn based RPGs. Some of them are absolutely murderous difficulty wise. Easiest games for me is Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. Even on on the highest difficulty and doing the max level arena stuff/Sephiroth I had absolutely no problems at all. |

Don't care, a game's a game. Besides, someone else mentioned that burn the rope game, so precedent is on my side. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 124 Joined: 13 May 2008 | Both God of War games for PS2. I bought the PS2 when God of War was in platinum and they were selling the slim-line-silver PS2 consoles, got home and played for 12 hours or so (was late for work the next day) to completion. It was addictive as anything, I'll give it that, but it was really easy (just playing normal). The second God of War was awaited with much anticipation and, after dealing with the colossus I chewed through it in two nights. The beauty is that I keep playing them though. Does anyone remember "Giana Sisters"? It was a Mario clone from way back in the C64 days. I'm not sure I ever finished it but that was certainly an easy game. |
Paperboy Posts: 20 Joined: 29 May 2008 | hmm thats a hard one. Ill have to say either freelancer for the pc, or coolspot for the sega genesis. Coolspot was fun, but it got boring going through the levels twice. once going, once on the way back. |

On a plus side, it was super creepy without trying to be, and the atmosphere and 'feel' of the game gave me was really immersive. |

Entangle, few tile manipulations, shuffle, entangle, throw in a random fireball here in there. Once you've reached that point, you almost always win your first turn, it just takes forever. Its like playing a Tolarian Academy deck Other then that, Im going to say A Tale in the Desert. Very fun game, but if you play, you will hate yourself for liking it. Rotting flax is a major skill. More educational then is natural. |

Did it ever occur to you that I might just be super awesome at RPG's? Haha, I'm just joking, I'm not that cocky and I'm not that good. The ones I've played through are the older ones like Chrono Trigger and FFXII. I think the most recent one I've had time to completely play through was Golden Sun, and that's a couple of years old now. So yeah, I probably haven't played any of the harder ones. I don't know which ones the difficult ones are though. |

It's tough to really name a modern game here, as "easy" has kind of become the norm. Even on hard, there aren't too many games that I haven't beaten inside of a week, and I have a full time job and a six year-old.
Old school easy games that stick out as "Holy crap that game was easy" include most of the Disney games for the 8 and 16 bit systems. See: Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, Little Mermaid, Aladdin (which was fun, but really easy), and pretty much anything based on the Disney afternoon.
