I know that many people will still be playing GTA 4, but what are people looking forward to the most this summer when it comes to games? If you haven't seen anything that wows you, what are you playing that can keep you inside over the next few months.

If I can afford it I will get a DS and get Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2. Been looking forward to that for ages.

Call me a fool for being exited over any game that would be audacious enough to even try to represent World War One accurately, but I am looking forward to "To End All Wars".
Yes, I understand that it will almost certainly be a tremendous flop, but I have a passion for the First World War which blinds me to such probabilities. I can dream can't I?

Also, I think the release date has been pushed back to August, but I'll be looking forward to "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" all summer long.

I'm looking forward to Spore, even though it's after the summer.

Waiting for Spore...dum de dum...

Seriously though, Battlefield Heros looks like it'll be fun. Me and my friends are all planning on getting it and playing together. I'd say The Force Unleashed as well, but they delayed that. Dunno about any others, though I think I'll look into that "To End All Wars" game that Nickson mentioned. WWI? Has anyone tried to make a game about WWI?

I have a bad feeling about a World War One game... I know it wasn't ENTIRELY people charging over no-man's-land and getting machine gunned down, but it wasn't until the U.S, Canada, and Australia entered the war that it stopped being bogged down... I have a feling the main character will be an American who saves the day... Again.

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility is all I can really think of, since I can wait until Christmas for FFTA2

Summer was finished over two months ago. What are you talking about?

Considering this sites global subscribers, why didn't you just say Midyear games, genius?

Metal Gear Solid 4
Rock Band (think I'll import, though)
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Other games which take my fancy at the time.

Think I'll also use the time to pull my Ps2 out and get down with some games that I didn't have the time to play, like Psychonauts, Prince of Persia : Warrior Within, Killer 7 (I've played about 3/4 on a rental), Shadow of the Collosus (see previous) and Resident Evil 4.

Actually, this year I've been thinking of checking out some older games that I missed the first time around, rather than heading straight for the new items. Of course, this year I got SSBB, but I know I finally want to get onto the vintage game store and get my own downloads of Chrono Trigger and The Secret of Mana and so on.

Also, when I made my "When did casual gaming become such a horrible thing?" thread here not too long ago, complete with lament about so many FPS's all being alike, I got several recommendations to try The Darkness, so I'll probably hunt down a copy of that too.

I think this summer, or rather this coming month, will see a purchase of a playstation 3. I'm in need of a blu ray player, and fuck, I'd buy it for MGS4 alone even if that wasnt the case. Really.

I am looking at the list provided above starting at May 1st release till October 1st.

The game I was waited for (though now that I have a copy I am scared to play for fear of disappointment) is Prince Caspien. The last Narnia game despite the controller breaking design of one level was really solid. Despite the fact that I really disliked the movie.
So I am hoping that this time the level designers are not on meth and I shall have a very good game to work through.

World in Conflict sounds really cool, though I will be reserving judgement until I see how the engine runs.

Star Wars the Force Unleashed, assuming it doesn't get pushed back again...

Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2, I use to watch it long before it came to North America and still have a soft spot for the games.

... I'm usually okay for the abbreviations but you've stumped me with that one. What game is that supposed to be?

Anyhow, my highlights are Ninja Gaiden 2, Rock Band, Alone In The Dark... and thats about it really.

heyyyy I started a thread like this...but it failed...anyway:

haze, haze, haze, oh happy day haze!
Stalker: clear Sky-whenever the bloddy hell its coming out
left 4 dead
and I haven't seen much of too human, but my prediction is it will be average-god at best. to me it just looks like one of those games where you go to a platform, fight a wave of bad guys, then move on to the next one and repeat. thats just from what I've seen and I realize that not much has been released gameplay wise so this is jsut a speculation feel free to criticize I know someone will
did I mention haze?
