I've been struggling with myself ever since Assassin's Creed. Never got it myself because of my shitty CPU. |

Beat Writer Posts: 161 Joined: 13 Dec 2007 | It tends to change each week but the mainstays are; Fable 2 Gear of War 2 looks great from what i've seen, but it needs to be riddled with variety to make me want to buy it. Other than that, Fallout 3 maybe, just hoping Bethesda don't ruin the original idea. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 56 Joined: 16 Dec 2007 | In no particular order... Fallout 3 Jesus, that's a lot of games. I was hoping to have time to get around to beating some old ones this year, but I guess not... And as usual, they are mostly coming out within the same 4-month timespan. BLEARGH! EDIT: Splinter Cell Conviction has been delayed to '09. Good, I suppose, cause now i can play other games. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 56 Joined: 16 Dec 2007 | Does anyone else think that Mirror's Edge might end up as a sort of tech-demo like Portal? I have trouble believing that so much work could be put into it with all the innovation they're doing. Also: Do I need to play Fable to understand Fable 2? Also also: WHY THE FUCK DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO COME OUT DURING THE BEGINNING OF SCHOOL/THE SAME FOUR-MONTH PERIOD? It forces me to wait 'til Winter Break to really play games. I wish game devs (or maybe it's the publishers, in this case) would understand that if the game is good enough, people will buy it no matter what time of year it's released. Look at Bioshock and GTA IV! They sold really well with non-normal release dates. Bioshock was the middle of the summer and GTA was May, so evidently games don't need to be released during the "holiday season". When do you think the devs/publishers will get the picture? |
