well he mentioned in the console rundown that the best game ever fantasy world dizzy for the commadore had already been made.

As people have answered the question, I'll pose my own question: Why do you care what Yahtzee's favourite game is? Really, is there any point?

Clive Barker's Jericho, I mean Psychonaught's or maybe Fantasy World Dizzy just taking the piss.

Its not that he especially liked Portal, its just that there wasn't anything he could really criticise about it. Some of our favourite games have easily identifiable flaws (OoT's fucking Water Temple), whereas in my experience flawless games don't generate enough interest for me to list them as my favourites (The Sims - recieved with massive yawn).

I don't think he really likes video games. He sure like to complain though :p
But judging from the reviews, I'd say Portal since he seems to enjoy short, well-designed games over just about anything.

Ummmm, did you even listen to his review of Portal? It was pretty clear he was psyched about the game beyond it just being flawless. Plus, in a later review (COD 4 I believe) he ranked it just behind Jesus on the scale to perfection.

In the review for Turok, he states that Fantasy World Dizzy is his favourite game.

For second :
Portal is the only one never to receive a bad review.
GTA IV is the only game he's gone back to after the review.
Psychonauts did have flaws, but it was the first he threatened us with.

Now, the interesting question would be "What is Yahtzee's least favourite game?"

(And JRPG's don't count because he's said on Mass Effect that he likes them as long as they stay the hell out of his way.)
