Will xbox360 die at the hands of the ps3?

No, the 360 has been around too long and Halo 3 is still dominating the online. With all the people paying for Live and the money made from selling 360s, there's no way Microsoft won't stop releasing games or developing another console for the market.

I think this because as soon as I see "Will Console A die because of Console B?" I think of ending everything about it and converting the majority of players of Console A.

No go away.
One game is not going to kill the Xbox 360 and vise versa for the ps3 they will forever remain equal and both have pros and cons about them so just leave it be.
