So upon the arrival of SSBB yesterday, I lost all of my brothers to it's alluring influence. I was incredibly bored so I decided to start playing FFVII again (after 10 years!) which got me thinking about what to name my characters. So I've decided on some very *ahem* colourful choices. I thought I might share them with you, & also get some ideas for what to call them in the future. Little things like this do amuse me somewhat...

Cloud - Mo Fizzle
Barrett - Your Mum
Tifa - Womb Face
Aeris - N****lips
Red XIII - Rent Boy
Cat Sith - Griiingo
Yuffie - KKKracker
Cid - Samuel L.
Vincent - Not yet decided, any ideas?

I will now take the chance to apologise for bad language & racial slurs, I assure all who read this (especially the mods! be nice!) that all of this is in jest & I have no malice or negative feelings towards any ethnic minorities (or majorities!) or mean any offence in any way shape or form.

But I have to say, some of my favourite lines have been:
"I liked Your Mum's sailor suit."
"I'm Your Mum."
"Nanaki, otherwise known as Rent Boy."
Samuel L. - "Shut up! Sit your ass down in that chair & drink your goddamn TEA!"
"Hey! Griiingo!"

Well, at least be more like Andrew Jackson with Vincent's name. Don't hate just one ethnicity, hate them all with equal vehemence.

Actually, wait, name him Andrew Jackson.

I always like Yazhee's 'Fagballs' in use for the guy from Zelda. Call Vincent that. Mo Fizzle, Rent Boy and Fagballs sounds quite the team.

Either that or Phil McCrackin

One time when starting a new FFVII game file I decided to name Cloud "like totally" because I thought it would be funny to see Sephiroth talk like a valley girl, but then I noticed something I hadn't before... in all the game, Sephiroth never actually says Cloud's name.

My brother actually named all of his characters Sephiroth, just to see how it would sound. Then the next time he named them as if they had lisps, for example, Aeris became "Aerith".

To set everything off you need to name Vincent something completely and utterly serious...like

Edmund Worthington
or
Oswald Cuddlebottoms
or
Trojan Man

Umm... well, the fact that they're up to XII now would be a hint in that direction...

My girlfriend still worships the ground that FFVII falls on. I think she wants sephiroth on her tombstone. Fun little game - i actually played it at her place because i never had the PS1 - i started with the PS2. Anyway, to differentiate my game from hers, cloud was called "Mr Huge" (i wonder if anyone still gets that reference).

i thought the C64 and Atari 2600 (and those BBC games we played at school) were old school... not a game that came out after i started shaving

If you want oldschool: Secret of Evermore.

I once named Cloud after me for kicks. The only time I've done a strange naming is naming Cait Sith "Dumbass" so conversations would go,

Tifa: Hey where's dumbass?
