If I am on Xbox live. and have a headset, it is normally along the lines of "OH EM JEE, DOUBLE YOU TEE EFF! UR TEH GAYZ! HAXX! IMA PWN (Said pawn) UR GAY NUBZOR! ROFLCOPTER" If it is on the computer, it is usually the same thing, but, ya know... written. I have no idea why I do it, but it relaxes me to say it... or type it... I also have fun laughing at the people who actually take it seriously... |

It's incredibly longwinded and poorly written, but here goes: It all started on a team custom match to Valhalla. Some other guy took his place saying that he was the kid's father and I needed to leave him alone, and I would now play with him instead of his son. I'm not exactly sure why, but that's what he did. This ended the game and brought us all back to the lobby, which started this guy calling me and the other guy many colorful words for awhile. Then He finally got booted, or left, I'm not exactly sure on that. Again, this is not the only thing that happened to me, but this is one of the least enjoyable. Many more foul-mouthed shenanigans ensued in the later days until I just had enough and switched back to Gears of War and TF2 |

For instance, I seriously doubt that everyone who uses the word gay online is prejudice against gay people. I would say most people just use it as a light insult, but not to actually oppress gays. You have to understand that it's not always serious, and if you're taking it that way you are in fact the one turning it into something oppressive. Though I am sure there actually are people online who use the word in an oppressive manner for the purpose of oppressing, but I have yet to recognize one. User was banned for: I'm Finished. I know everyone here who has played online has been called gay when they kick arse. I mean I know gay people go on online games but why should you use it as an insult? For me I find it one of the best times of the day when someone calls me gay. I tell them they should stop being a pain in the butt and learn to play or just try and improve their skills without going to the whole YOUR GAYOMGHOWCOULDYOUBEATME!? Style insults. I want to know everyone's opinions on the whole subject. I don't know if this has been done before but if it has...tell me and then tell me how to delete the thread since I'm still getting used to the whole button layout here on The Escapist forums. Oh and I can't forget. I want people to say if they have actually said YOUGAY! to people online. I haven't since I'm bisexual and don't want to insult my own half of my soul but what about the rest of you? hell if your gay and annoyed about it online shout out your anger here if it annoys you or just tell us how funny it can be sometimes.
