All of my friends love the damn game which really makes me mad because i would rather do anything than play it. the driving sucks, it takes 5 or 6 hours to get to the missions that are not tutorials. im just glad my roommate bought it b4 i had the chance 2. which i told my friend 2 buy me a copy and thank god he forgot |

Still, going on rampages is always fun, but it lacks the "Rags to Riches" feel of Vice City and San Andreas. Here it's "Rags to...upper middle class". It's a good game, but it's no where near San Andreas. |

Ow, my eyes. Anyway.... The game was awesome, until the end. After I finished it, it just fealt too drab and unplayable. Even pointlessly speeding and bailing off a motorcycle downhill was nolonger fun. |

It kept me going, albeit there were spots where I felt I didn't WANT to do missions for a certain guy, but I pressed on none-the-less. It's a solid game...although I would recommend renting it before committing. I don't necessarily regret my purchase....I just feel I should have paid 40 - 45 dollars for it. Seeing as the game is, in essence, completed yet only reads 60% complete on your stats screen. The sandbox play is incredible. And feel free to add your own soundtrack when you rampage down a crowded side walk. "THERE'S SO MUCH BLOOD!!!" |

Hi everybody. So, GTA4 has been out for awhile now and im wondering if im the only one who was underwhelmed by the game. I went out on launch like a lot folks and purchased the game the very day it came out. I really thought i liked it too. I played it probably for about two weeks and then something happened. I got bored. The missions became uninteresting and i just couldn't keep playing. I still haven't finished the game, though im sure at some point i will, but with all the reviews proclaiming it as the second coming of christ i can't help but feel that i duped. Having not finished the game yet i may be uninformed, but did anybody else have this problem? A couple of things i disliked about the game that i can think of, off the top of my head, would be the irritating socializing missions and some of the humor (the tv, for instance) falling a little flat. I guess the biggest gripe i have with it is the lack of variety compared to San Andreas. In my opinion that game had a bigger and much deeper world than the one in gta4. It really felt like the game took a step forward in the graphics department and two steps back with the gameplay. You're all welcome to call me crazy, but does anybody else feel like the game was a little overrated?
