Well, as the title states this is a forum for you to tell the world your funniest moment(s) on Grand Theft Auto 4 *cough*8*cough*.

My funniest moment was while I was playing free mode online, I had taken a helicopter from the airport and I was messing around in it when suddenly someone with an RPG shot the back of my chopper. I jumped out only to be killed by the blades of my chopper. The server had instant respawn on so I (as you should have guessed) respawned instantly and Respawn Distance was set to near so I spawned near where I died, and as I respawned instantly I took 1 step with 1 thing on my mind. Revenge. When out of no where, the helicopter I ditched finally hit the ground, after the fall, right on top of me!

I was like... SWEET. Sadly GTA has no theater mode or anything so I couldn't record it.

I once ran into someone with my car (duh) and there was a cop nearby, so of course he flashes up one star and runs over to my door to pull me out and arrest me. Right when he grabs the door handle I floor it and he hangs on! And I drag him for about half a mile until I went up onto the sidewalk and he slams straight through a mailbox. I laughed for a good five minutes on that one. I loves me some rag doll physics.

I was joyriding in a helicopter down one of the roads and a guy was running from a cop. I decided to be a good person and give air-support. However, as I neared the runner, a rotor from my chopper hit him and the guy flew about 50 meters into the water where he got hit by a boat.

Another Heli story, during an Team Deathmatch game at the airport one team had got the high ground and was raping any man who came near. They were being asshats about it also and taunting people on voicechat. I grabbed a car and head over to the choppers on the other side which nobody had tried to go for yet strangely.

I got above the team, dived at them and managed to kill 5 of them just using my rotor blades. I continued this for about 10mins, then they all quit the game leaving just us and another small rival team. I was laughing the whole damn time.

I've had lots of funny moments mostly playing the amazing Team Mayifa mode.

I was playing the mission where you find out that Roman's girlfriend is banging the Russian fellow (Vlad?) and you naturally have to go kill him for this. As I got in the car and flipped the radio to the classic rock station, the opening strains of "Evil Woman" came over the airwaves. Perfect timing

I was walking out of a Clucking Bell and some guy ran into my car. I got run over and then crushed by my own car.

You want good laughs, get a motorcyle and just drive through town at high speeds randomly bailing. It's most funny when on hills and you end up cartwheeling through the air forty feet above the ground and die.
Do it off ramps, it gets even more awesome.

I second this. It also helps just to run into cars going the opposite direction going full speed.

Once, I was driving along, being awesome, and not hitting anything, and I was like "Woo!" And then some jackass pulled out in front of me and ruined it. So naturally, I got out of my car, stood in front of his, and shot him in the face. Of course, little did I know that his foot would land on the gas pedal, and his car ran me over and I died.

On the first mission where you get a wanted level, the first time I did it, I came out from behind the building, blasted a cop in the face with a shotgun, stole his car, and jammed out of there as fast as I could. I finally got away from the 3 star wanted level on the freeway, but my car was going to explode, so I ditched it and walked along the highway. Of course, this is apparently illegal, so when a cop saw me, I got another star...So I tried to run for it, only to be blindsided and killed by a soccermom.

So I was running [driving] away from the cops, and all of the sudden, a cop swerved in front of me, and I swerved accordingly to avoid him...Only to smack head-first into a taxi, sending me hurtling through the windshield, bouncing into the taxi, onto the cop car, and back into the taxi. Of course, by the time I hit the taxi again, I was already dead.

This one time, I fell off the Getalife building and survived.

I was driving a wrecked up van on the sidewalk in between the bridge with the subway going underneath it [It's the southmost one. Connects the first island with the long one], and when I got to the part where it dips down into stairs to go under the road, my van smacked the top of the tunnel and exploded. Luckily there's a hospital just down the road from there.

So I was on that same bridge, but with a sports car this time. I rammed the wall full speed, hoping for another glorious explosion, only to be jettisoned out the window, into the wall, and onto the stairs, where my car subsequently ran me over and ended my life.

When I turned it off and started to play GTA san andreas. :P

I was once trying to show some people in Free Mode the "Heart of Liberty" secret. Needless to say, jumping off the helicopter on the small platform where the entrance is located is not the easiest feat, so i could sit back and watch the carnage...with people accidently killing others and themselves by flying to close, or missing the jumps, filling the island with corpses and helicopter wreckage.

Also, we once put the damage modeling of a vehicle to the test by turning it into a compact with the help of a heavy truck, in the middle of a race. More funny than i describe.

EDIT: Also, i spent about half an hour jumping on/against moving vehicles. Inspirational for any jackass fan, and makes up for stupidly funny ragdoll animations

I always handled my Banshee with care, and after joyriding, coming close to scratching the paint or getting some dents in my bumpers, I decided to stop playing for a bit and save. So I drive up to one of my safe houses, get out of my car, and right as I do that, a taxi drives by and sweeps off my door. At the time I was like @#$%!!!!! But then I started to giggle.

GTA IV has got some crazy fun when it comes to Helicopters

One of the Best moments was when me and a friend were playing a game we like to call "Lets see If we can bail in helicopter with out getting chopped into tiny little bits!". Well naturally we failed many a times. But on time he managed to survive and he flew in the air... Right into my recently bailed out helicopter which was still airborne with blades still a'spinnin. Now my helicopter was looooong ways away from where he bailed originally. so what do we start doin'? Play a game called "Lauch yourself as far as you possibly can" the loser has to buy the other steak.

Cut 20 mins later and there we were with our stratagies on how to go as far as possible after bailing out a heli. One rule you have to start at the airport and lauch as soon as you hit the river between Broker and Algonquin. Now what i say to you is true; My friend started out strong with guns blazin and wind behind his back because when he bailed... He hit the top of the damn Empire State Building. "Hit" isn't the right word more like "Bounced" and kept on truckin it all the way past algonquin island and landed in the far river. He survived only to be run over by a boat or two (stupid 6 star ratings).

He obviously won and still owe him a steak.

I have to second the 'drive as fast as you can hit the ramps'. That's awesome. Another awesome thing to do is trying to get 'Under the Radar' achievement. It's fun, and I enjoyed getting it.

Man, how can we have a thread about GTA IV fun without the haunted swingset?

And speaking of helicopters...I spent hours trying to bail from one just right so that I would land in the lake in Middle Park. It doesn't sound like much of a feat, but from all the way up there, the lake is an itty-bitty target, and if you're not in the correct position going the correct speed, you're boned. When I finally did it, I just barely got it. I hit the fence first, and landed in the shallow end [it comes up to your knees]. I was like "Yeah, I'm gonna make it! ..Oh shit, no I won't... Fuck fuck fuck hit it hit it....FUCK. Wait... Score!"

One of those "You have to be there" moments.

One time in multiplayer me and my friend were trying to kill each other in two helicopters but we ended up taking both our tails off and free-falling into the ocean.

ive done a bunch of the bridges but i cant seem to find the last few bridges

My friend and I were playing around at 3 in the morning, so obviously we were doped up on soda. So I took a helicopter and tried to land on the highest building on the first island. So, once I was on top I handed the controller to him. He types in the cheat for a motorcycle, and snickering all the way starts driving around the top of the building. He tries to be cool and ramps off the side, but somehow misses, hits a vent and is propelled off his bike and falls frontflipping spread eagled all the way to his death.
We were in hysterics.

I think this was a random glitch, I was walking around decideing what to do, when suddenly a police ar LANDED on me, not drive me over, LANDED on me. I was like "Where did it come from?" So as I finally get back up another 2 cars fall out of the sky and kill me! This happened a few hours ago to me while walking around central park.
