N64, PSX, and Sega Genesis are my three favourite systems. Since two of them fall under one category, I'm picking that :3

I miss the days when there were cool wacky games that had fling things in them. Remember Crimson Skies?

5th Gen FTW!!! N64 had only great games, I used to be packed like 14 friends around an N64 playing SSB, StarFox64 was and is still the best piloting game ;)Conker's Bad Fur day was badasssssss! Now I'm more of a PC gamer, I still have my N64 wired to the TV to play :D

I started gaming with the fifth gen but I have to say the sixth gen is definitely my fondest memories of gaming come from.

oh, while its not my first i think the PS2 was possibly the greatest console, and better for its generation than even all 3 of this generation.

My earliest days was with the commodore 64 with Dragon's Lair, which I actually looked up on youtube and god does it look awful haha.

I had the NES...but after that system, my mother told my father not to buy me anymore, since all I did was stay inside until I beat the game and when I had tetris, became obsessive and addicted to it. I remember bubble bobble, top gun (HATED that game b/c it frustrated the hell out of me), dragon quest (first rpg i ever played) and some time later played zelda. The next system I had was the sega genesis, only b/c of the fact my mom was sick at the time and my father felt bad for me...so he bought it for me. Then it was the psx...which I saved up the money for it myself, went out on my bike (haha) 2 towns over and kept it at a friend's for a while and then managed to sneak it into my house. It was a year until my parents found out I had it...(too late to return it! haa!)

When I got older, I started buying all the systems I missed out on, including the n64, snes, sega saturn (loved the imports) and also dreamcast was there somewhere. Since then, I've bought every console b/c I'm a freak.

Somewhere around there, I started playing FPS (halflife/counterstrike, unreal tournament) and was totally addicted to counterstrike (before CSS)...

So lets see...my gamer days started in 1st grade maybe?? And here I am all grown up and still the same lol

While I am a PC gamer, I most fondly remember the SNES and Sega Genisis. Those were the best consoles ever made. Their death, sent me over to PC.

Sixth gen was a golden age for games, with the first introduction of console online and a lot of great games to play on it, such as Halo and Star Wars Battlefront
I have to say though that the current gen is probably my favorite look at the release calenders for '07 and '08, so far we have Bioshock, COD4, GTA IV, Halo 3, MGS4, The Orange Box. Then look at whats ahead, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, Guitar Hero 4, Rock Band 2.

I'm not old enough to have nostalgia though so my views might be tainted

Videogames have always been in my house my whole life (Far older brothers) So, as even an infant I had the Atari in my house, grew up around it. Very young, I began to play the Snes and those, but I got my love for the video games from my N64. I still remember the day my brother and my mom brought it home! The big-ass box, Super mario 64 and Diddy kong racing... Accidentally moving the control stick out of neutral when the system was being turned off and thinking Mario was possessed and trying to escape the screen... Good times. Now about 75% of my gaming collection in games my brother stole from his work. xD Even an expansion pack!

Fun fact: I never beat Super mario brothers 3, and I even have it for Wii. (My NES and SNES both crapped out nearly simultaneously.)

5th gen, perhaps. That's what I'm saying. Although I was never separated by generations, games sort of always happened. Young, lifelong gamer.
