But I was sorely disappointed, Last-gen graphics, brain-dead AI, useless items(can't even use a shuriken stealthily!), and only a few levels for 50 missions, Awful online support (all games lag, period.),boring missions repeating endlessly, and weak gameplay made for a bad game. |

Deus Ex: Invisible War is a big one. It was just... meh. It could have been awesome, but some bad decisions left it mediocre. After that, I have to throw Chromehounds out there. That game had SO MUCH PROMISE, and I really, really hoped it would turn out well, but it just didn't quite work the way it should have. It's a damn tragedy. Black and White would have been better if it wasn't a glorified pet-raising simulator. I've also seen Halo 2 in here... I agree. I liked Halo CE (though it has not aged well), I liked Halo 3. I did not like Halo 2. Gears of War. Lots of people love it. I think it's a very cinematic clusterfuck. There are probably older games I could put on this list, too, but I just didn't have the same standards then as I do now (I still never played Daikatana), and hype and such were not as big an issue. |

And if anyone remembers Syphon Filter on psx... that was another "meh" game for me...I played all of like...eh..I don't even think it was an hour and was like, "Okay. I'm done." And Berserk on dreamcast...which as a looong time ago. Being an anime fan, I was all for it, but there was something about the huge sword hacking that just wasn't gratifying enough for me. However, it did get good reviews back then -- it just wasn't meant to be for me |

Well, if you read the book he survives so long because he is possessed by chaos and is just a pawn in their game. In the end he loses a leg and ends up in a coma, although I admit in the game they just have a 'And they all lived happily ever after' ending. |

With the semi-exception of Second Sight, which was decent enough, Timesplitters has been Free Radical's only true gem of a creation, although FP tried to be every gaming convention ever and ended up all kinds of "why?!". Larger than life cartoony madness is what they do best, and anything else seems practically beyond them. I was dubious about Haze from day one, with Nectar sounding like 'collect the mushrooms for super-Mario!', but I was one of the many who wanted it to be worthwhile. Now with 'splitters 4 in the works, hope beyond Buddah, Christ, Satan and even Mighty Marmite that they don't pull a 'darker, moodier' move or something to that effect. |

Led Zeppelin won't release their master tracks to the songs so rock band nor GH can use them. Its not GH or RB's fault its Led Zeppelins fault. Blame them. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 96 Joined: 19 Jul 2008 | Driv3r- well alright I didn't care for it to begin with, but it could have been great. Director's Mode was potentially awesome but even that had glitches that could make every car and person disapear from the footage, and the files where huge most of the time. Shadow of the Collosus- just an honourable mention, because at its best it's bloody brilliant (and if you haven't played it, WHY?!), but 5 or 6 creatures are simply clones of previous ones, and the ending cutscene is unexpectedly Metal Gear Solid- a mad twist that almost makes sense and takes far too long to be over with. Half-Life 2- another semi-mention, because while story, characters, set pieces etc (except Dr. Magnusson: who are you? Why does everyone assume I know you when you've never been mentioned before?) and great, the shooting is becoming increasingly aged, and where it not for the uber-physics engine and the zombie sections, it could almost have been a game-ruiner. By far the best sections of the entire game including the episodes have been the initial trawl through City 17 and Ravenholm, because here blasting took a backseat to atmosphere. Reviewers don't seem to acknoledge that the shooting is ever more outdated, which irratates Tryzon to no end. *broods* |

Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
Command and Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath
I'm sorry, but those two games sucked. Being a huge fan of the Command and Conquer series, I was hoping for something a little bit better. Kane's Wrath was a fairly big disappointment, changing pretty much the whole game instead of adding to it like I had hoped. The Epic Units are really weaksauce too.
World of Warcrap
I wish WoW was a better game. Then I wouldn't hate it or the people who praise it like the second coming of Jesus. Why couldn't it have been a respectable game?
