I went from cube to 360. Cube was similar to PS2 and Xbox. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1615 Joined: 10 Mar 2008 | I was actually patient and stayed with the Playstation my whole life. And boy am I glad I did ;) |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2210 Joined: 8 May 2008 | I'll put playstation to Xbox because I did have a PS2 before a 360 although I didn't really play it. |
Paperboy Posts: 34 Joined: 14 May 2008 | I went Sega Dreamcast -> Sony Playstation 2 -> Sony Playstation 3 & Sony Playstation Portable. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3676 Joined: 30 Jan 2008 | I went N64->Gamecube->Secondhand Ps2 I bought off a friend who had purchased it early (No problems at all for either of us) -> Wii -> Ps3 (I wanted to play Twilight Princess) |

Copy Clerk Posts: 89 Joined: 18 Jun 2008 | I've always stuck with Sony and the Playstation, under the belief I could just kick over my pc tower draw an x on it and call it an X-box. Rather apt considering a lot of the x-box games have been or are going to be ported to the PC. The only thing I'm really missing is a bunch of prepubescent kids calling me a fag. |

Now now play nice. |
Beat Writer Posts: 213 Joined: 16 Jul 2008 | I went from PS2 to PC, partly because a lot of consoles games are being ported for the next couple years (happens every new generation) and partly because its cheaper for me to upgrade my GFX card once every 5 years than it is to buy a new console. |

I planned that myself, but my shitty stock computer has an AGP slot for graphics, so that kinda put a spanner in things. Next PC I get, I'm going to a shop that builds what you want. Oh, and I went from PS2 to Xbox 360. I got an Xbox when the Xbox 360 came out, so I played, and enjoyed Microsoft's selection. Thus, the successor was my choice. That, and not many of the games on the PS3 interested me. |

Paperboy Posts: 46 Joined: 11 Jul 2008 | I went from PS2->PSP->PS3. Yeah, I'm a Sony fan. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 60 Joined: 14 May 2008 | From N64, to Playstation 2, then got a Gamecube as well, then a Wii, then a 360. I had PCs until the Playstation 2, then got another one around the same time as the Gamecube. I actually bought 3 PS2s, because I'd never turn the damn things off when I'd finished with them, and they'd just burn out. One of the things I like about my XBox is that while I can't hear the fans while I'm playing it, when the TV's turned off, it's so loud, I never forget to turn it off. I'll buy a PS3 when the price comes down, or I get a good enough reason to get one. I was hoping that backwards compatibility would be that reason, as my PS2 is very choosy about what it will and will not play nowadays, but since they've announced the new 80Gb version without it, and I'm not paying for an old 60Gb one, I'll have to wait for another reason. |
Copy Clerk Posts: 124 Joined: 12 Feb 2008 | I've run the gamut, though have never bought a MS console. I figure I play enough games in XP that I might have well bought 10 XBOXs. My 'next gen' is the PS3, after my PS2, which followed my game cube, which followed my beloved Dreamcast. (Not to mention the SNES, Genesis, NES, 7800 ad 2600...) I bought the PS3 on potential, though I don't think the XBOX 360 and PS3 will ever be that far apart. But given the trend in gaming, I though the capacity of the Blu-Ray and the potential of the Cell processor was enough for me to lean towards the PS3. However, I don't think that exclusivity will benefit anyone, and I'm glad to see games that were once console exclusives moving to other systems. If only Mario and Zelda would come to the PS3 and 360! |

I did this but my friends wanted me to get a Xbox 360. Glad I did, but still like my ps3 better |
Paperboy Posts: 11 Joined: 9 Jun 2008 | Always been on the sony wagon. I'd prob buy and xbox 360 as well if I had the cash, but then again, there arent really any xbox exclusive titles I give a damn about. Halo's big steaming donkey dung, so's gears of war (both of which i've played on anyway.) Lovin the ps3, she's one grunty mofo |

Neat, me too. Had to have a 'Cube, my life would be so much less meaningful had I been denied Metroid Prime, that would go on my list of best games ever. LoZ: Wind Waker, SSB Melee, Mario Kart: DD, and LoZ: Twilight Princess were awesome too, and Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet as well (right up to the retarded "Test of Strength" and afterwards). |
Muckraker Posts: 336 Joined: 11 May 2008 | I'm doing a bit of a spiral PSX->GCN->Xbox360 if the pattern continues i should be going back to sony it would seem. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3404 Joined: 4 Jul 2008 | I you stuck with all three and have all three current gen consoles their should be an option for that as well. |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 1698 Joined: 20 Dec 2007 | I Flip flopped around a lot but I never was a "brand loyalist" - just got the systems, but not all at once. Never had an Xbox and so far I won't be getting one so I guess I've been sony and nintendo, and then PC (guesss that counts as MS). EDIT: OH yeah, and SEGA too. Man, it's like I own everything except the two Xbox's, a DS, and PSP. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 83 Joined: 9 Jul 2008 | Yeah I started off with the Playstation (and N64), then got a PS2, then moved to next-gen with the 360. With plenty of PC gaming through it all, of course. |
