Rob Sharona:
A remake of Blast Corps with better graphics, more levels, vehicles, easier controls and bigger levels. Obviously we could now have leaderboards, and there is a lot of scope for multiplayer, although I don't know what form this would take. Leave this to the devs at Rare I guess!

HELL YES!
that'd be so sweet, they could increase the viewing range and add some moar manga-style robots.
I'm gunna bust that baby out on my 64 when i get home tonight =]

Arcanum - I'd let it run on vista... that's all I'd do. Nothing else.

It runs fine on Vista for me.

I would like brawl style kirby graphics, with plot of the kirby superstars, with combining powers like crystal shards, but with all the powers and moves of the superstars kirby... I want to see a firesword-wielding super puffball in high def!!

I'd remake FF:tactics for the PC/PS3/360 and introduce a re-telling of the story, attempting to bring back the TBS to a level the original did.

I would remake all the star wars: rouge squad games but instead of them being for nintendo i would have them for microsoft. Then set them up with 360 graphics. and maybe a better multiplayer with a good co-op and at least 8 man vs match

I'd like a System Shock 1+2 remake pack. First, make them run well on modern Pcs, then update the graphics. I don't need anything too fancy. The half-Life 2 graphics would be just fine.

Also, I'd like a port of pretty much every good Jrpg to the PC. The Pc simply doesn't have enough Jrpgs.

I would definately have to say something that has yet to be reimagined (not that it wont be), is Stryder. If I was to lead the team that would develop it, I would focus on making a wall clinging high paced action game, so pretty much just another Ninja Gaiden or DMC but with an emphasis on wall clinging and platforming. In this case story wouldn't matter, just make the platforming decent and add in huge boss fights.

Also not classics but I would like to see re releases (small updates only) of American Mcgee's Alice and Final Fantasy 4-6 (infact most older Square RPGS) on a system other than the DS. Imagine Secret Of Mana or Seiken 3 with Rogue Galaxy esqe combat and tons of weapon upgrades.

Man, if they made a remake of Darksun: Shattered Lands, exactly as-is, EXCEPT in the Neverwinter Nights engine... *drool!*

Although turn-based battle system was charming, I could see it also doing well in real-time. So long as they just use the updated graphics and leave everything else alone, it will be nothing short of amazing.

i would love someone to redo oddworld:abes exedous, and oddwold:abes oddesy. just better graphics would be nice, and it would have to stay in 2-D style side scrolling, god help anyone who would change it to 3-D. :D

Legend of Dragoon, with WAY better graphics and better translating. Also, all the chapters fit onto one disc, meaning you don't have to switch discs every time you want to backtrack.

It runs fine on Vista for me.

It installs for me, then I start it up, it chokes and dies in a pool of lung blood.

@Rob Sharona

Well, the game was going to be designed so you could build both above ground and underground, so if the secret doors of DK2 moved onto DK3 in the form of trap doors on the surface you rally could build sorely underground and pop a horny up through the secret door to watch him stick his scythe down a few goody-goody heroes throats.

The Soul Blazer series with full 3D graphics that bring it up to the current generation, and a complete re-translation.

I could think of a lot of ways to remake my favorites, I just have a hard time settling on my very favorite. I'll stick with the avatar.

Psi-5 Trading Company.
Graphics overhaul (needless to say).
Custom ship and crew designs (balanced in such a way as to prevent templating).
Online play, with runs influencing the economic scope of the universe.
Head-to-head pirate versus trader subgame.

So, basically, it'd be EVE Online. Except you've got a bunch of crewmen NPCs/PCs and more fun on the GUI level. If Cryptic manages to release Star Trek online, it might come closer.

Id just get Super Mario 64, add in lots of new levels, lots of new stars, update graphics and add in mods for content. Perfect.

I would remake FFXI, by redrawing the sprites into something cel-shaded... like war of the lions.
