I cried even after that when Big boss bites the dust. I mean HE CANT FUCKING DIE! But he did it so awesome. He just lied down |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3003 Joined: 21 Jan 2008 | I have to say the speech given on Virmire by the Salarian commando. It was heart-warming to me, and I tried to make the guy survive. I'd also have to say that the last cutscene in COD4 touched me, what with the full weight of war crashing on my shoulders after playing a game. Bioshock also deserves a mention. The good ending really made me feel good about my decision. Ah... |

I laughed at that. Am I such a cold bastard? Is suppose I would have to say the opening credits in CoD4 where a pretty big "woah' moment for me. |

He survived all the frags and bullets sent at him from the enemies and me no problem. |

Paperboy Posts: 32 Joined: 16 Mar 2008 | In MGS4 when Otacon finally gets with Naomi, that made me happy, but then it had to kill that nice feeling by killing her off, and showing flashbacks of Emma just made it worse. Kinda off topic, but I still cry when I see Wizardmon die in the first season of Digimon |

Because they really wanted a homage/shameless rip off of Starship troopers? |

Wait is ELIJAH the black guy? I thought you meant the girl that dies on the screen. Fuck I'm stupid (its what you get when you don't pay attention because your planning your gnome trip) |

The car is your enemy. (Put in back of car, drive a bit, pick up gnome and put back in,repeat many times) |

That was an emotional moment for me. Also, (As mentioned), 'Shock and Awe' from CoD4 - Crawling out of the Chinook (helicopter) after the nuclear explosion. walking a few feat then dying. Powerful stuff. (Even the moment before when the helicopter is about to crash) |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 2651 Joined: 22 Jun 2008 | Gaz died guys.... I'm pretty sure of it. I think we head captain price since he is our captain he would be the one leading the op.. Also no love for the black sterotypical marine? I actually enjoyed the moment where he crouched over you and layed down supressing fire. Maybe its just me but I didn't have much love for gaz, Had more for the commanding officer since he saves you on the ship. But anyways moving on I didn't really feel emotional when the marine dies but then again I did not really like the marine missions... MGS4 is filled with very emotional aparts that I have to say I usually don't feel in the gaming industry. |

Paperboy Posts: 16 Joined: 12 Apr 2008 | I remember the week I had gotten MGS4, I played almost straight through it in matter of days. When I reached what I thought was the end, watching snake stick a gun in his mouth, I was overwhelmed with sadness. All I could think about was how hard Snake's life had been, and Otacon's little speech to Sunny didn't help much either. I ended up being so distraught that I immediately turned off my PS3 and called my friend. When he asked if I had watched past the credits, my brain did a back flip. |

Yet they don't when I throw grenades at them. Hmm about as much consistency as the Simpsons I guess. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 5 Joined: 23 Jul 2008 | I always get quite emotional when I finish a Final Fantasy. I suppose it has something to do with investing so much time in something and getting familiar with the characters, then seeing it all wrapped up with a pretty FMV after a gruelling final battle. FF8 especially got me. It was the first one I'd played and the end had me crying in a real "Aw, that's nice" kind of way. The ending of HL2 EP2 got me pretty emotional, as well. |

Beat Writer Posts: 183 Joined: 5 Apr 2008 | Isn't there already a thread on this? For me it would be when i played through final fantasy 10 for the first time and you find out the truth about Tidus's father from Auron. I was in absolute total and utter shock... i even found myself saying along with Tidus "NO, i don't believe you!" Also in GTA 4 when i chose the money for Roman only for him to die at his wedding! Roman was such a great cousin, RIP. Call me in heaven and maybe we will actually go bowling. |

Heck, what about when Tidus finally meets up with Jecht? All sorts of uncomfortable, and I cried when I watched it. (What can I say? I have father issues. :P) |

Hmm.. Well, I was playing Guild Wars created a nice guild, but like 30 people nothing big. We were a tight net group working in the game together. One of the guys I began to trust greatly asked to if I would promote him and I did. As soon as I went offline he kicked all my members and left. The guild couldn't withstand that, and it fell apart rather fast.
