Well I've been playing for a good month and a half now so I think I have a general impression on terms of gameplay and there are a few things that I really like that are besides the obvious. For one each area has the ability to break off into separate instances which helps break up clutter and the overall fight to get that certain unique monster. Two, but this only applies to pvp servers, it allows you to attack ANYONE you want when you are out and about in non-city areas. While this is a recipe for disaster it does let you take a whack at anyone who decides that a chinese farmer is their idol and hero. It also lets you smack up any loudmouths who don't shut up on the open chat channels. To make this more then a statement I am giving an open call for people who have played Age of Conan AND will compare it to other MMORPGS and not just go on the MMORPG spamming "MMORPGS suck" to say what they like or dislike about it when comparing it to other MMORPGS.

I played Age of Conan during the beta and bought the game during Funcom's Early Access period. I'd say I played for three weeks or so, got up to around level 60, and realized just how much work still needed to be done.

The late-game content simply wasn't there. All of the crafting professions were bugged, and PvP was horribly imbalanced (I was a Guardian, and this was before Overreach got nerfed to hell). Then there were bugs-- using charge would cause me to fly backwards a hundred yards, my weapon/helmet would be invisible, I lost a ton of money in the mail... etc, etc.

Haven't played the game since. Hopefully most of these issues have been resolved by now.

I'm a Conquerer and I have yet to run into any of those bugs yet. These patches are very major and fix many notice-able bugs.

There are two things I like about age of Conan. One is called Sally and the other is called Susan.

Seriously though, I like all the gore and the combat system. I used to just get up and make some tea and hope I wasn't dead when I got back.
