Muckraker Posts: 284 Joined: 18 Jun 2008 | I'm replaying Twilight Princess because I beat OoT a few days earlier, but my Zelda craving is kind of dying out. I'll just play Brawl and GTA IV until Assassin's Creed gets here. Though you can't technically 'replay' Brawl. Except maybe the Subspace thing, but that was total fail. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 4 Joined: 8 Jul 2008 | I am playing a few games again... Guitar Hero II, going to try and beat Free Bird on expert and quit the damn game once and for all. Halo 3, messing around on forge and trying to beat Legendary. Fable: The Lost Chapters, going to increase my hype for Fable II just by thinking about it! |

Copy Clerk Posts: 121 Joined: 25 Apr 2008 | I, too, am trying to complete all of Mass Effects side quests. I also bought Brothers In Arms: Earned in Blood a few days ago in preparation for the next one; I like Road to Hill 30 better. In between that, I started a brand new file for Mercenaries. |

Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 24 Jul 2008 | I'm replaying Tales of Symphonia for about the third time. I've forgotten the plot and all of it's twists and turns so everything that happens is a happy little surprise. (Also Guitar Hero III. I'm trying to beat some of those impossible songs near the end on hard.) |

I guess you could say I'm also replaying HL2, though I never really stopped playing it... Same goes for Fallout 2. |
Beat Writer Posts: 138 Joined: 29 Jun 2008 | I am replaying OoT, although I never really played the full game in the first place. Oh well. My Zelda Craving is insane, I'm still in shock over E3, so now I'm mostly re-playing TF2....Ive done about 95 hours of that total. And RE4 for the Wii with a really really really stupid/cool costume for Leon. |

Beat Writer Posts: 133 Joined: 1 Jun 2008 | I already finished it weeks ago, but I replayed Chrono Trigger. Alas, it was the PS1 copy, and I was surprised at the slight differences and my inability to spell LARA with the buttons. I replay most games I own, or I would otherwise sell them off. Most of the time when I replay the game, it's a decade later. For example, I replayed FF7 shortly after Advent Children was released. This is a good way to enjoy replaying games as by then I forget every little piece of the game and if I am not even surprised by anything I forgot, I am at least refreshed on why I enjoyed it. The only games that are removed from this trend are the really short ones. Brawl, Wii Sports, and other Wii/VC games come to mind. |

That game is AWESOME! |

Gone Gonzo Posts: 3869 Joined: 2 Dec 2007 | Half Life 1, Blue Shift and Oppossing Forces. Also, I'm redoing Oblvion but not quick traveling. It's both good and bad. Good because it's more realistic and you pick up everything you miss. Bad because ever city is so far away from each other. |
Beat Writer Posts: 192 Joined: 12 Jun 2008 | SC = Starcraft pha kin su pah? (love the name btw). Think you'll get Gears 2 before that as SC2 isn't out until next year now. :( |
Beat Writer Posts: 172 Joined: 13 Mar 2008 | ... Chrono Cross. It's so wonky and over the top. I don't remember the plot too well, probably since I played it when I was significantly younger, but I do distinctly remember things like blowing up a city that had been paused at the moment of its destruction and switching bodies with the villain. It showed my main character stabbing his ally in the back and smiling like a psycho practically in the intro movie. That kind of madness is worth sticking around for. |

When you get the urge to pick up an old game and give it a whirl, perhaps out of some sort of yearning for the simplicity and innocence of a bygone gaming era, the results can be mixed. You can either remember why you fell in love with the game years ago, or remember why you had to buy a new controller.
So, what old(er) games are you playing at the moment?
Me, I'm replaying Mass Effect. I'm hoping to take the scenic route this time, and complete all the side quests.
