I'm trying to locate my copy of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to replay that. I have held it as the pinacle of stealth game excellence and even after finishing MGS4 I think it still may be king, I just have to play it again and decide whether MGS4 trumps it. |

Paperboy Posts: 33 Joined: 11 Jun 2008 | Deus Ex...the full phrase being "Deus Ex Machina", meaning God out of a machine. Originally it was used in ancient Greek drama when a crane or similar object would be used to, for example, carry an actor out of the danger that egh was faced with in the play, or to give a hero a weapon hen his broke. It was basically a mechanism to explain things like divine intervention. When I first heard the phrase, it was after I had finished playing Deus Ex, and so my first thought was that it was related to Deus Ex... SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILERS POILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER Because of the super-intelligent computer AIs Daedalus and Helios, who later form into the "super-program" by the name of Icarus (I may have gotten Icarus and Helios confused, ironic though, Greek mythology had Helios as god of the Sun, and we all know what happened to Icarus. Soon after I realized the true meaning (as an explanation for divine intervention in Greek drama), but I still happen to like my original thoughts on it. I consider it a neologism, but that may be my ego getting the better of me. |

Ho could you forget a thing of such power, such majesty? Obviously you didn't play the game the way I did, let me explain this in mathematical a form: G.E.P Gun + Seagulls = Blood explosion extraordinare! Or NSF Trooper + Crowbar to the power 8 = No face. |

Now with community pathces and triple monsters mod (also triple bosses) to get some challenge in to it. As real replays, I just finished Oblivion, and was going to start Psychonauts again. I should play Tales of Symphonia again, because I'm missing one title, and then I have collected and done everything in it. --- Deus Ex: Every time you say it's name, somewhere someone reinstalls it. |

Actually right now I'm replaying Marathon, thanks to some helpful people on this here board, and Diablo 2, in celebration of 3 being announced. |

I was going to do that but I felt I would betray the awesome story. Like reading a good novel and trying to point out all the flaws. |

I have the same problem. I get to the bit with the infinitely spawning droids, just before the last boss, and put it down. It just might be the impending feeling that I'm going to ruin the experience of ANOTHER game by finishing it. |
