Press Junketeer Posts: 358 Joined: 4 Jul 2008 | The godfather Game is probably the best Movie-game out there.it follows the entire plot to a point.it doesn't add anything like some villain that was never in the game, and yet it's still awesomely long. |
Press Junketeer Posts: 373 Joined: 20 Jul 2008 | I'm gonna have to go with the Riddick game as well. Mostly because it wasn't based on the god awful movie that I like for some reason...It's actually pretty crazy how well that game still holds up to this day. |
Muckraker Posts: 268 Joined: 25 Mar 2008 | The Godfather for one set in the movie. A few Starwars games. Battlefront, KOTOR, Dark Forces, Jedi Knght (Technically a part of Dark Forces but whatever) |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 6129 Joined: 30 Jan 2008 | I think I'll enjoy the Ghostbusters game. And how can you people not mention Goldeneye? And I don't think Butcher Bay or KOTOR technically count, since the events that trnaspire aren't part of the actual films. |

Its still Star Wars. Which is a movie series. Same with Chronicles of Riddick. (If you go by your standards then none do since I don't remember 4 bonds walking around carrying golden guns killing each other in the movie. |

The opinion is divided. I personally feel that in order to be based around a movie, the games must actually focus (to some degree) upon the events that happened within a movie (or a series of movies). Since none of the events that happened in KOTOR were ever part of an official movie, they aren't truly a movie based video game. Same with Butcher Bay. It is merely a game set within the expanded universe of those movies, but not based upon them. |

So Star Wars is not a movie series but a Sci fi universe? Its a movie series. The new ghostbuster game is a movie game (but where was this guy in the movies and why are only 2 of the 3 ghostbusters in it?) |

Press Junketeer Posts: 382 Joined: 21 Jun 2008 | Batman Returns on the Super Nintendo was probably the only game I truly loved that's based directly on the source material. It is a little generic, but it's really darn fun and the boss battles are great. |

I've never played it, so that's why. Anyways, for me, it'll have to be Spiderman 2. It was a pretty cool game, and swinging from web to web is an awesome experience. |

Considering that you are fighting the Staypuft Marshmallow Man, the events that happen in the movies are covered in this game (unless of course Ray is retarded enough to make the same mistake twice). And there were 4 Ghostbusters, not 3. Or was the black guy invisible to you? RACIST! (No, Rick Moranis was not a Ghostbuster, since he never actually fought a ghost. Star Wars is a movie series, but only the events that occur in the movies are part of the movie series, the rest just takes place in the expanded universe built around them. |

Ya and there are 3 sith in episode I (well I guess the secretary is a ghostbuster too. SEXIST!). It is in the "expanded" universe with a new guy (again where was he in the movie?). It has this on the box of the game its a star wars movie game. |

Once again, thats not part of the films primary canon.
Didn't The Empire Strikes Back for the SNES have Luke killing Darth Vader? |

This will go nowhere. You think your way I think my way. (KOTOR ftw either way.) -Meow |

Thats what I said the first time you disagreed with me. "Opinion is divided" - what the hell else is that supposed to mean? And who the hell would think the secretary was a Ghostbuster, considering all that she did was take messages, be snide, and have sex with Rick Moranis. |

The word "opinion" is being separated into pieces. Well I don't count the black guy as one only the founders the rest are interns. |

Considering that he fought off the Destroyer, Zuul and Vigo, I think he counts. |

Wait wait wait. Surely those don't count as movie games? Well, obviously the Spider-mans do but the others? They're just franchise games, while they're related to movies, surely they aren't movie games because they're not directly based on movies? |

And remember, the best they could fight without him was Slimer. |

Yet we only know him as "the black guy". To be honest my favourite part of ghostbusters is the song not the ghostbusting itself. |

Winston. His name is Winston. |

His name is Winston Zeddemore. You're really not helping to disprove the racist claim, you know. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 3002 Joined: 8 May 2008 |
I didn't know his name. But you did and not used it? Hes a character from a movie for crying out loud. rac·ism (rszm) Where have I been a racist? |

I thought the game Spiderman 2 for the Xbox was really good.
