Nah it doesn't have a campaign at least not when I last played it, you play smaller versions of multiplayer matches (16) with the ai. Like I say though that was the last time I played it, it may have changed.

That is a no. I expect there's a mod amongst the thousands there already are. Best to just look about see what you can find.

If the PS2 version is the same as the 360 version, then you will find Battlefield 2 for the PC is very, very different than the console versions.
It does have a single player mode, where you can compete against bots to learn the ropes, but you can only level-up online.

No, the PS2/Xbox version is Battlefield 2:Modern Combat. A completely different game from Battlefield 2. BF2 has more vehicles/weapons/bigger maps than BF2:MC, but I never thought the multiplayer was as much fun.

yeah, battlefield 2 is quite imbalanced, I'd recommend 2142 just to spare yourself from the gunship whores.
