Tetris.
I have nothing against the game and think it's awesome, I'd just love to see that if it weren't ever invented, would the Game Boy have been relevant?

E.T. The Extraterrestrial. Thank god all the copies are buried in the desert.

Not all of them. I happen to have a cartridge of it.

how?

It's not like they went straight into the landfill. Over a million copies of that game were sold (though that was much less than Atari expected and manufactured).

I happened to spot the game in a garage sale and it costed peanuts. And who the hell wouldn't want to own a game that is officially known to be the worst game ever? Yeah, thought so.

Peanuts? Seriously? You just happened to have peanuts in your car so you can get the game.

I want to pick halo but to be a little more original I'll pick WOW, now I'll never get warcraft 4.
The other option is counter strike (although it was a mod), but I have a felling it wouldn't make a difference.

Toss up between Halo and FATAL. The second one isn't a video game.

Superman 64 - thats a terrible game.

FFX.
Or whichever it was on the PS2.

Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.Walk.Fight.

I don't mind random fights in games.Dragon Quest: JotCK is one of my fave games, but FFX was just stupid.

Grand Theft Auto 3 Because it dumbed down videogames.

Grand Theft Auto. If I have to listen to one more soccer mom rant about how games like that are killing the children or something I'm gonna kill myself.

Final Fantasy Seven, if only so my friends will stop talking about it. I try to talk about fallout or any other western rpg and it always comes back to Final Fantasy Seven. You can stop talking about a game EVERYONE has played!

As tempting as it is to say E.T., I won't because no E.T., no Video Game Crash. No crash, no Nintendo rushing in to save the day. Therefore, I will say Deadly Towers.

Why would you want the game that almost ruined the industry?

What.

WHAT?!!

Viva Pinata was a great game! It was such delightful fun! Of all the games to wipe, you had to pick a good one that never did anything to anybody!

What about E.T, the game that caused the industry to go into stasis?

Because it's a part of history and it did not ruin the industry.

Final Fantasy X. Unless they gave me the version that the reviewers got and actually gave me what I wanted to play.
Which of course would have been a lack of a Sphere Grid and a leveling up system more akin to Tales of which actually thinks you may wanna switch characters to get variety or that something will happen that puts one of your A-Team members out and a person you abandoned shortly after they joined back in.
And of course, Tidus's death and better class balance (Thank you Aeons for making little to no reason to use Lulu at all!)

Halo and Half Life
Sorry, both of them are the reasons that FPS games are war games after war game after alien game that's just about as decent to look at as a pencil-sketch of a 1950's book.
Not to mention, I hear so many "intelligent" PC gamers loving Gordon Freeman and saying that putting a Sock Puppet character in a FPS game is original. Oh hasn't that been done since say, every single one ever made? Heck we all know Gordon Freeman is just another Dragon Quest-style hero.

For exactly that reason.

Muahahahahah! You've said it now! There's no going back!

I'd say.. hmm, Lost Planet just because it's so bad.

portal, kidding. the madden series, everyone says halo because no originality, if that's the case throw our metal gear series as well after the first one. but the madden series wins just because it's the same junk year after year instead of just every 4 or 5 years. ea's opening logo should just say thanks for letting us rape you again, come back next august for some more.

Starcraft.

After learning about it's popularity in Korea from this week's articles, remove it just to see what Korea does.

Without Half Life, Valve wouldn't of become successful, thus no Portal. I like Portal.

Shit, careful. They might nuke you, you know what they're like.

[/sarcasm]

Thing is, I like the halo games, but I don't like the games that blatantly rip them off. Which isn't all of them, I mean, a lot of people say that setting a game in the future with aliens and giving the guy a gun and armour is copying Halo. Like Halo didn't rip off any other games. ;)

It was the worst game I've ever played, I think.

It's not just Starcraft, though it's the most popular game they have. It's eSports in general. They'd probably be playing a game like Guild Wars or somesuch instead.

I dunno, Halo would be nice, but WoW would save so many people...

I just wish I could reduce the popularity of a few games instead of totally deleting one. Like Final Fantasy 7, I mean I liked the game and all, but I just can't stand the idiotic following it has.

Portal. Yes it was a fun game blah blah blah. But I just want to stop hearing about it. I've heard my mom say "the cake is a lie" and she can't even turn on a computer or game console by herself let alone play the game.

It would easily be the origonal goldeneye. I hate how popular shooters are. Without this game, there woulden't be nearly as many

Sorry dude, but that's Halo's fault.
Speaking of which, my vote for Halo.

That's my line! Oh, well, at least I'm not the only one with a copy, but we got ours new.

But I digress, as always. If I were to banish one game from existence, it would have to be Dance Dance Revolution. No inexplicably popular, gimmicky DDR, my thinking goes, no inexplicably popular, gimmicky Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and perhaps a less gimmicky, still popular Wii. But that's probably just me.

The LoZ games on the CDi.

I don't need a reason to wipe those things off the face of the earth do I?

Think about the YouTube Poops!

I would like to erase Gothic 3. Damn people thinks they are rappers!

Edit: Or maybe Ghostbusters for NES, I think it was.
