Why would his opinion not matter to himself? Well, I guess that one of those things unreasonable rage takes away; coherence. |

His suggestion that "I be nice" has nothing to do with his or my opinion of Halo 3.
So that's why you haven't been able to understand posts in this thread? If you want to keep flaming me, take it to PM's or find another way to stop trolling this thread. |

All I'm saying is that you should play nice. So play nice. User was banned for: Adventures in Ninja cookery (3rd comic up). (7 days) |

You had stuff like Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Turok, but nothing much past that. Halo 1 had a decient campaign and multiplayer (though it lacked online). Halo 2, in my opinion, was actually a better since it charged the campaign with a more cinematic value, and the online multiplayer made it so you would not have to arrange time with friends to do deathmatches. Halo 3 however, watered down the story, and left the ending with a feeling of "... that's it?". The multiplayer was good, and the addition of being able to film your games and customize maps were excellant additions. On one final note, I would like to say that in my opinion, all Halos have good vehicle controls compared every other FPS I have played. So why do people hate Halo? As for mediocre, I can understand that, though I would say it's a bit more generic than mediocre. Bungie pretty much took Marathon, streamlined it, added in some Starship Troopers, and then a dash of Ringworld. As far as it goes, Halo is a generic FPS with decient gameplay value. The big reasons of hate seem to have more with things indirectly connected to the game--hype and fans. It has a disproportional amount of fans connected to it for all it's worth compared to other more unique shooters. Unfortunately, there is the less deserving reason: Becuase it is cool hate a popular thing. |

Only if you haven't read our conversation on the previous page. Then again, you could say that about anything said in mid-conversation when stripped away from its context! |

This is another excellent post and this bit right here is something which isn't seemingly discussed very much:
Although I wouldn't consider Turok (for the N64 anyway) to be in the same sort of significance and popularity as Goldeneye/Perfect Dark. Halo 1 was the first really popular last-gen console shooter out there which did things differently than Goldeneye/Perfect Dark did. |

No, it's not very coherent in context. ". . . to the supposed meaness you or I display towards other people" would have been better. Do you see what I'm saying? It's a very poorly written sentence. That's it. |

Meaness isn't a word though. That's very poor spelling! That's it. Could we get back on topic now? Thanks :] |

Actually, it still has them as an option in Custom Games. |

Oh the game itself? Well, its all right. I'd give it a seven... maybe a six. BUT OLD MAN ACTORS PRETENDING TO BE WAR VETERANS! BUY THIS GAME OR I'LL RAPE YOU IN YOUR SLEEP! :D Seriously, I do want to market a game with the money and resources that Microsoft shilled out for halo three. I reckon I could make Dia Katana sell $20-30 million in the first day before people realised it was complete shit. Honestly, my dislike mostly stems from far better games being ignored. The more popular something average is, the more hate there is around from people who know better. |

Everything else aside, which game has the better controls? |

I like Halo 3
Edit: Also did you read the part about Danzorz? That was the important bit, everything else is just so I remain on topic.
And on that note:
I would argue that the point maximillian made about halo 3 being the 'bouncy castle equivilent of games like call of duty 4' is a point on the good side of halo. It's fun, not meant to be super serious, especially not the multiplayer. Unfortunately that's going to attract many different types of players, good and bad.
