Okay okay, there is a Pokemon topic right now, but I want to stand up on my soapbox and say something: Pokemon is PISSING ME OFF right now.

Allow me to explain, I'm sure all of you Pokefans are aware of Pokemon Platinum by now and I was hoping they had grown out of version exclusives and event pokefucks by now (event pokemon have been mocking me for years, "Choo can't catch meee! U'll have to cheat nur-nurny-nur-nuur XP" <_<) but NOOO! They announced new forms of Rotom that are Rotom possessing kitchen appliances, so it could learn new moves, so I was like "Hey! That looks cool! Can't wait for Platinum!", *sigh* but I can't do that can I? Because you need a KEY that you can only get through a FUCKING EVENT!

This is like playing a First Person Shooter only to discover that you have to buy all the good guns. So I am saying now:

"NINTENDO! I AM MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO BUY YOUR RE-HASHED SHITTY GAME! DO SOMETHING NEW FOR FUCK'S SAKE!".

Until they do something new (preferably in 3D, with NO shadow Pokemon) I am not going to put up with this.

I've always considered the event-only Pokemon to be a bit of a dick move, especially since the events don't really take place anywhere outside Japan or the US.

I just ignore them and, for the most part, they ignore me.

As for your rant; it can be applied to pretty much most games in the modern gaming industry that are made by EA, or, if we're lucky, a corporation owned by EA.

That's a fair enough comment dude. I'm in the same boat as I live in the UK. So I bought an AR that was about £10 and it's all I use it for really. Not happy about it, but Nintendo aren't going to change any time soon so I may as well 'suit myself' and enjoy the game I paid for.

They finally got round to doing a UK tour last year where they gave away a Mew........10 years (at least) after Japan and USA had them. Sigh. Shame you can get a Mew no problem on Ranch now, making that pretty useless! :S

If you're not then A:You should have figured out that all the games are the same by now and B: Going to said events would be creepy. So I kind of agree with you. But leap to conclusions all you want.

Your analogy is wrong, it's nothing like having to buy anything at all, you just need to go to the event.

I can understand where you are coming from though, I really wouldn't want to go to a Pokemon event with a bunch of kids, your only other option is getting an Action Replay.

I live in the UK so events never did and never do come here.
And yes, I am finally old enough to realise the games are all the bloody same (I feel like smacking myself for not realising sooner), but now that I have come to the conclusion that they are spewing out the same bullshit and still fooling everyone that they are doing something new, I am fairly pissed and want something new. But knowing Nintendo that's probably never going to happen. :)
Anyway about the events; I don't want to go to a kiddie convention just so I can get a small pixellated monster, I just want the damn things in the game so I can get what I paid £30 for in the first place.

For the record, I'm 15.

I have the same feeling towards any content that's ready and isn't put into a game though, but their main plan is togive out free downloadable content, bring fans together and market the game, which is pretty good when they could have just slapped a big price tag on the dlc.

Good point. To be honest you have me there, but it still annoys me that there are still things missing, take Darkrai, I was quite excited about catching and playing with it but then it pissed me off when I realised it wasn't in the game.
