And that matters how, exactly? Toni ends up trying to kill you, despite being the protagonist of Liberty City Stories, and Vic Vance gets blown up in the opening scene of Vice City. Since when does future appearances make any difference to these prequels? |

It's a perfect time for things like Baldur's Gate 3 or even Arcanum 2. (Oh, and if you haven't checked it out, Arcanum is a great game and similar to Fallout 1 & 2 only a little newer and set in a really cool steampunk/fantasy setting.) |

And now its pretty certain there wont be any more episodes and i'll never get to see what happens next. :( Which is not good and i'm kind of annoyed I bought it, at the time thinking i'd get to see another episode 3 months down the line... oh well, at least I got the first SiN free with it. =] Psychonauts and a new Monkey Island game too. Though i'm pretty sure they have a 5 game contract, or something like that, so i'm sure we'll see one eventually. |

Paperboy Posts: 35 Joined: 19 Jul 2008 | the tribes series. i loved tribes vengeance, although i know a lot of people preferred tribes 2. not for the storyline, that was allwyas nothing more htne a glorified training mission. it was the multiplayer. i swear to god, there is not and has never been a finer multiplayer game made, ever. the jet/ski system makes for fast paced combat, and thanks to full 3d movement at retardedly fast speed coupled with prediction weapons, the game took real skill. unfortunately, VU has buried the series. i know there's its spiritual successor, on that instant action site, but its not the same. RIP the blood eagle mini league, RIP the finest multiplayer i have ever seen. i swear to you, if i ever win the lottery, i will buy the rights to that game and give them free to anyone i think can make a good game with them. |

Yes, yes, and god yes they do! |
Muckraker Posts: 325 Joined: 4 Jun 2008 | Star Wars: Republic Commando. Sure, the gameplay might have been a *bit* similar to Halo, but the humour made up for it. KoTORs need a sequel too. |

They made a Shenmue 2. <: LOL. I would like to see a new Shenmue though, undoubtedly. Moreso, however... PANZER DRAGOON SAGA. OH MAN PLEASE LORD MAY THE SAGA ONCE AGAIN RISE FROM ITS GRAVE. |

Arcanum was the greatest high fantasy RPG I have ever played. |

The thread is called "games that desperately need a sequel" not "sequels that desperately need to be made". User was put on probation for: What the hell is everyones problem with these so-called "casual" gamers?. (3 days) |
Muckraker Posts: 285 Joined: 14 Feb 2008 | Advent rising need a sequel, it's supposed to be a trilogy (it was released in 2005) and it left us a MAJOR cliffhanger. |

Agreed on that point. For me...Erm, for all its issues, it'd have to be Drakan: The Ancients' Gates. |

Oh c'mon, guys, just let a mediocre RPG die, will you? User was put on probation for: What the hell is everyones problem with these so-called "casual" gamers?. (3 days) |

Anonymous Source Posts: 4 Joined: 3 Sep 2008 | I would really like to see Shenmue finish the story it had begun but with Yu Suzuki not working with Sega anymore the likely hood of that is slim. KOTOR needs a final game to really finish the whole True Sith story it had built. However I would also like to see a sequel to Fahrenheit. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 1 Joined: 24 Sep 2008 | Nobody has mentioned Sacrifice yet. The amazing looking action-strategy-RPG game from 2000. Yes, it still looks awesome. And yes, those three elements actually *do* blend for once. Only nobody noticed and it died, so Shiny closed and the dev team went on to make crappy Matrix games. |

Paperboy Posts: 28 Joined: 14 Aug 2008 | Homeworld 2 - defo man. Psychonauts. More Tim Schafer madness please. It's not so much the gameplay, there were some brilliantly realised characters both through art and voice acting, that we don't really see so much of these days. Especially when humour's involved. And of course, a new Deus Ex. Something truly non-linear this time; there's not enough Sci-Fi cyber-punk rpg-action type games. Deus Ex meets Neuromancer - arg dribble. The genre is lacking, and there's no need considering the wealth of great SciFi literature out there combined with the processing power of modern PCs and consoles. Imagine; DeusEx 2 in a world approaching the complexity of GTAIV. Great place to hang a couple of story-arcs eh? edit: typo. |

Paperboy Posts: 17 Joined: 18 Sep 2008 | Definitly a few that do; Legacy of Kain - can't believe this series hasn't had the next-gen treatment yet. It would be incredible. KOTOR 3 - and no silly MMO bullshit. A genuine, cohesive, sequel. Warcraft 4 - 3 and the Frozen Throne were incredible. I want more. WOW does not compensate me. And, as flawed as it was, I second the Legend Of Dragoon sequel...that was a great game. However, I think it wouldn't work in today's market. |
Paperboy Posts: 27 Joined: 10 Sep 2008 | Bioshock, but luckily there is one coming in the near future :) A bit off topic, but when Diablo III was announced i started looking for PC's to run it on full. |
Beat Writer Posts: 211 Joined: 5 Jun 2008 | The only games that need sequels are the ones that were set up for them but didn't get one - Shenmue 2 & XIII spring to mind. Sequels are the anti-cool. If we banned them on a Thursday the world would be a better place by Friday. |

Yes, but the Xbox got exclusivity, so its not a real Shenmue. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 6167 Joined: 30 Jan 2008 | I disagree with everyone saying Psychonauts. While the game itself is worthy of another iteration of a similar game, following the storyline in itself would be difficult, seeing as how Raz got promoted to a Psychonaut, and could destroy people with his brain just by looking at them. |
Gone Gonzo Posts: 1139 Joined: 6 Jun 2008 | Why don't people understand that it's possible for an MMORPG to have a single player component equivalent to the story in any other RPG? There's not much of a precident but it's entirely possible. (if you don't realize I'm talking about KotOR 3) I think there should be a new Rogue Squadron game, and they should stick to the starfighters this time. *wags finger at Rebel Strike* |

Disregarding your snide remark, you aren't even getting your facts straight. Shenmue II was on the Dreamcast originally. I have the PAL version of it in my shelf. But yes, Shenmue II needs a sequel. I want to see how the saga ends. |

Your right, VGcats did do a good job on conveying it, and yes, the Jagd missions were awesome. Btw, is FFTA2 any better? I need my SRPGS. >.< (Level9999 on most of my characters in Disgaea 3 and I need to pick up Disgaea DS, but none of my local stores have it (so far).) |

I loved the first game, but it had so many goddamn bugs (I turned it on and it reset all of my characters/savegames)
also fastball special at 00:51 = win
I loved Brad Dourif's character in that game
