Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines

Greatest RPG ever. Bar none. We need a sequel. Do you hear me Troika? You sons-of-bitchs gave us Arcanum, Temple, and Bloodlines, and then you leave? No-fucking-way. Get your ass back together and make our sequels.

Okage: Shadow King was amazing. The ending even set it up for a sequal but I guess they never got around to it.

I know it seems weird as the game only came out a week ago, but i would like to see some sort of sequel to Force Unleashed.

If Lucasart's read the reviews of the game and realised it wasn't perfect, they could improve on them in a potential sequel and give us a better game. The engine of TFU was amazing and it would be a shame if they just let it go to waste.

Now that Fallout 3 is coming out, I'd love to see sequels to other great older computer RPGs. It's a perfect time for things like Baldur's Gate 3 or even Arcanum 2. (Oh, and if you haven't checked it out, Arcanum is a great game and similar to Fallout 1 & 2 only a little newer and set in a really cool steampunk/fantasy setting.)

Arcanum! I swear nobody else I've ever talked to has played that. Also, Baldurs Gate 3 would be awesome...really really awesome. I re-installed Shadows Of Amn a few days ago, so much fun to play again.

Advent rising need a sequel, it's supposed to be a trilogy (it was released in 2005) and it left us a MAJOR cliffhanger.

We need to make a statment to the company saying we want it back at any cost....lol...thats how much I want a second

Oh yes, I need more clambering on walls preying on the poor sap beneath me. I've had to rely on hidden source for my kicks.

Yeah, I need some more face-hugging goodness. I loved coming at the enemies on the roof like Alien 3 :)

I think someone needs to piece together a sequel to KotOR.

And Gladius. yea.

Mischief Makers. One of the most fun platformers I've played with wonderfully original controls and some of the most fun boss fights I've seen (character fights, not the random animals). Unfortunately, the game was also ridiculously easy, so it really isn't even fun to play anymore. Every time I pick it up again I'm disappointed at how quickly the bosses die. Someone needs to use this system again, even if it isn't a sequel.

Yes, yes and yes.

And here I was thinking I was the only one! On both counts. Mischief makers was the last 2D platformer that i really really enjoyed, and had some great ideas in it that could bring the genre forward (if anyone would like to recommend further 2D platformers I'm all ears). And Arcanum - wow that game had potential. Cool world, cool mechanics, cool atmosphere, cool character system. Totally and utterly flawed fighting system. I would love to see someone have a proper stab at a reiteration of that world. It would be totally amenable to the newer technologies.

Rock 'N' Roll Racing, anyone remember that on Super Nintendo?

It was good because you saved money to get new vehicles and weapons, pretty basic stuff. But the best part was the great music you listened too while playing!

I can remember they had some Black Sabbath, Metallica, AC/DC, Guns N Roses, etc.

I hear ya, man. Though I'm somewhat worried that it might end up like KoTOR and KoTOR II. The second improved the gameplay of the first at the cost of the story. Having your cake and eating it too? That's just crazy talk :p

Would love to see a story driven RPG with the epic scope of BG2

Crackdown!
Sure it had a crap story and I got that buggering glitch where it deleted my progress, but it was FUN, REALLY FUN!
I loved my character with the face paint and the face piercings, I called him Tonga.

Oh and TLoZ: The Wind Waker
I'd like to see it, except with bigger islands and a grown-up Toon Link.

No I don't count Phantom Hourglass as a sequel.

The GBA and DS Castlevanias are the only recent 2D platformers I have respect for anymore. As much as I hate the soul drop mechanic (not that I mind stealing powers from enemies, but how about making it more interesting than "kill enemy x 100,000 times"?), the games are still solid platformers and the annoying bits can be ignored if you don't care about full completion. The mario-based games (new Yoshi's Island, Super Princess Peach) are ok, but they have nothing on the old-school versions. At least Castlevania is actually an improvement over its early days of slowly tough-walking your way through the world.

I'd put Metroid up there as well but it looks like they've given up on 2D games, which is a crying shame since the Prime games are just barely passable as a good series, while the 2D ones are among the best platformers in existence.

No one to my knowledge has ever done anything interesting with grabs in the way Mischief Makers did, nor has there been a 2D game that much fun to move around in since the SNES Megaman X games. If someone made a combination of Mischief Makers, Megaman X, and Smash Bros I'd probably piss myself, but it looks like I'll just have to make it myself.

AVP 2 was the definition of epic. Must've replayed that several times, and the multiplayer was pretty good.

OH VIDEO GAME GODS, HERE MY PLEA! Make AVP3, and give it no association to the two atrocious movies!

Tombi 1 and 2!
You might of heard of this one
A "Whoopee Camp" 2D (3D in the sequel) ps1 game involving a small weirdo kid with pink hair and a variety of nasty looking weapons which he stored by eating them (whoever thought of that deserves a medal) and then smacking evil pigs around the head with said implements, jumping on their backs, biting their sorry asses and throwing them into other pigs.
All because they took your bling
Utter genius
And ultra fast gameplay
Company went bust though :(
It needs to be brought back, maybe like as a full 3D game would need to be made perfect though for it to work well, but use better voice acting, and maybe have more full scale fights like kingdom hearts.

But to digress from my ancestral fanaticisms
Would love to see another star wars battlefront, i know they're making a LOTR one but star wars was still really good.

Not the best RPG in my opinion, but totally agree with the rest! Love the White Wolf lore with Vampire. seeing as my main RP character was a Lasombra, they really need to introduce Sabbat or even specific antitribu bloodlines.

Warcraft 4 .. I need that in my life

God of War 4. Yes God of War 3 isn't out yet(or for the near future) but I figure if they get planning now, I won't have to wait too long after God of War 3 .. which will be amazing, and saying or believing anything negative is sacrelige :p!

Bahamut Lagoon. Never had this long enough to finish it, but had hours of joy raising and feeding dragons, as well as the great gameplay. A next gen version would be off the hook if it could get some decent development and initial attention.

The main ones that comes to mind is Shadow of the Colossus, Crackdown, and Eternal Darkness. Also, a new Dark Cloud game would be appreciated, but I doubt it will happen.

Not likely. They've said it before - God Of War III explains why there are no more Greek Myths. So either he moves on to Norse Mythology (which would be kick ass if you think about it) or the series ends.

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. It got ported to XBL, but that doesn't make it any better.

*and*

Mercenaries, but Mercs 2 filled the need...somewhat.

Golden Sun. I'm losing it here, damn it! Let me kick Alex's scrawny white ass while I'm still a young man!

A spiritual successor to Force Unleashed. Set it after the events of Episode VI, make the main character Luke Skywalker's student, include a better targeting system for some of the force powers. Leave everything else.

This is easy. Freespace. Best space sim ever. The story realy wasn't over with Freespace 2. I also would enjoy a Baldur's gate sequel or a Planescape: Torment sequel.

OMG! It is like someone read my mind and posted my thoughts on the internet. Scary!

Why are there no more good space flight sims? A new Freespace game would be most welcome. Hell if LucasArts would get off their ass and make a propper X wing vs. TIE fighter game I would buy that instantly. The orginal TIE fighter game was the best space sim ever! A good game that made you play as the bad guys, oh yes, it IS good to be bad.

And I still think that Planescape: Torment is the best RPG made to date. It has the kind of depth and story that is not found in other RPGs today. You dont select a character type and paly the game. No, you play the game and your character is shaped by your actions. Only the legendary Fallout was like that (I am one of the nay-sayers that fear that fallout 3 is gonna suck!).

Sequels that need to come sooner:
Wasteland II
Fallout 3 (no high hopes for)
Fallout MMPOG
Deus Ex 3
Sam and Max Season 3

Might actually happen:
Kotor III
X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter 2
Psychonauts 2

Never going to happen:
Monkey Island 5
Loom 2
Grim Fandango 2
Wing Commander Privateer 2 (Stupid Privateer 2 and Freelancer)
Mechwarrior 5 (or Mercenaries 2)

I feel old.

Or Kratos trancends time, and we have a messed up future world, with Kratoas swinging from skyscrapers and tearing apart legions of space marines. That or Nazi's

I wonder why I'm never called pessimistic :)

I agree that norse mythology would be kick ass. Kratos vs Odin. The series may just end up as Kratos getting rid of all mythologies one by one..awesome!

Because FFTA is crap. The judgment system sucks imo.

It was way too arbitrary. Wasn't it random each battle? If they had set rules for set areas that'd be okay (well, better anyway) but randomising it was just stupid. The Jagd missions were the best. Sure your guys could die, but at least you didn't have to worry about the crazy judge. I think VGcats expressed it best.

It was anything but random. It changes on a daily basis in a set cycle that's very easy to see. The actual list of laws at any one time changes to another, preset list of laws every time you finish a plot-related mission. With a little savvy you could easily exploit the laws to your advantage (such as fighting Ultima on a day that Charm was banned).

What games left you SCREAMING for more, for both good and bad reasons. Did the story end on a cliff hanger with no real resolution, would you like to see more of it in better graphics, did it have too many bugs, or do you just want more?

Just for clarification…..games that have been announced to have sequels do not count.

Here is mine:

1. Legend of Dragoon (for all its gameplay faults, and painful level of anime-like
themes; I just loved it’s story and game concept)

2. Legacy of Kain: Defiance (If anyone has played this series…… they know what I mean)

3. Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne (not WoW!!!!!!! Warcraft 4 as an RTS)

4. Homeworld 2 (I don’t care what anyone says, it’s the best space strategy sim ever made)

5. Alien Vs. Predator 2 (the FPS not the terrible movie)

i have the agree with number 1,2 and 3 on that one, i love legend of the dragoon, i loved the battle system and most of the game, it was a very rich game in all areas for its time,

Legacy of Kain was good, and hard, i loved thewhole vampire theme, that game got me into the dark horror side of things

And a warcraft 4 would be the bomb i been playing number three frozen throne for a long time now, maybe after starcraft 2

You basically took the entire list right out of my mouth. I've been craving a new Loom for YEARS. Monkey Island 5 would be awesome, but after the abomination that was MI4, I'm a tad skeptical. Still, it would be nice to see the series go out on a high note.

Couple other games I want would be Crackdown 2, Portal 2 (it is coming, just not any time soon, especially knowing Valve's track record), Bioshock 2, and Descent 4. There are probably a couple more that I forgot, but that covers most of the bases I think...

Trap Gunner for the PS1. It had no story but the gameplay was addicting. And it had an announcer that puts the Halo announcer to shame. I don't care if they add a plot or not, the multiplayer was sex.
