So I've still been using my original Xbox, chipping away at building the ultimate collection and gaming on my PC before the 360 or Wii gets another price drop. Based on the list of games I own below, could anyone recommend any obscurities I might've overlooked?

P.S. I haven't been able to find copies of BG&E or Psychonauts, and I'm not a Halo fan thusly don't own either.

Nah... that's a pretty good list.
I have nothing to add, pretty much every good game on the original xbox is represented there.

Several of these games you can also get on PC, and if you can I would recommend doing that instead of getting them on your Xbox.

- Deus Ex: Invisible War
- DOOM 3: Limited Collector's Edition (if you have a friend to play it with you then ignore this one)
- Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind GOTY
- Far Cry
- Half-Life 2
- Red Faction II
- Serious Sam (Way more at home on PC)
- Sid Meier's Pirates!
- The Sims 2 (Trust me you want this one on PC)
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
- KOTOR
- KOTOR II
- Thief: Deadly Shadows
- Unreal Championship 2 (Get UT2004 instead. The only reason I had UC was because the live community sucked at that game.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30. It's a good tactical shooter, and one that's quite hard as well. You should be able to find it cheap.

Don't bother with Fallout: BOS, or POS as it's aptly named by most Fallout fans. It's god awful.

If you liked Prince of Persia - Sands of Time, try part three - The Two Thrones. (The second one is highly missable).
If you haven't already, get Thief 1 & 2 for the PC. VERY good games.
And since you have a few RPG's on the list, The Bard's Tale is pretty much a must.

seconded.. It's quite entertaining.

With regards to Psychonauts and BG&E. I think you can find Psychonauts on the internet (www.doublefine.com has it, I think). BG&E is a bit more difficult, I bought my copy in Bruxelles on a holiday, since I couldn't find it on the internet.

EDIT: Get Full Spectrum Warrior!! That's a really good game

If your comfortable with mods, you should consider getting Morrowind for the PC instead, as it can be heavily upgraded graphically and gameplay-wise. But, the important thing is that you get Morrowind.

No, it's not! The second one is the best in the series in terms of gameplay. Sure the setting is a little too angsty, but it's got the best platforming in the series, plus the Dahaka sections and the story twist is fantastic. Aside from the Godsmack soundtrack it's the best game in the series.

I'd also recommend playing through Splinter Cell 1-3. Apart from that, you've pretty much got everything that was essential on the Xbox. Particularly Panzer Dragoon Orta. I fucking love that game.

Jet Set Radio Future. It was the first xbox game I ever played so I may be biased slightly, but I loved it. Was great fun! Thoroughly recommend it.

What about the Project Gotham Racing series? I thought it was great, particularly PGR 2.

See, this is why I like asking people what games to pick up, instead of just reading reviews: people usually allot more points on the basis of what's fun than reviewers do. So thus far what's been reccomended is:

- Oddworld series
- TimeSplitters 2
- Project Gotham Racing series
- Hulk: Ultimate Destruction
- The Sims: Bustin' Out
- Prince of Persia 2 + 3
- Full Spectrum Warrior
- Splinter Cell series
- The Bard's Tale
- Riddick: EFBB
- Voodoo Vince
- Star Wars: Republic Commando
- Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
- Advent Rising
- Enter the Matrix

Did people actually read the list of games he already has? Alot (not saying "all" but alot) of you are telling him to get games he already has.

I would recomend Star Wars: Republic Commando

yeah, seriously, you have a collection like that and you're asking us for suggestions?

those are basically ALL the good games on the Xbox.

the only suggestion I'd make

is Halo/Halo 2

I'm not a big Halo fan, but there's really no reason for an old Xbox aficionado not to own them.

Oh and GUN. I'm pretty sure there was a version of that on the original xbox (since the 360 version looked very much like a port)

Add Psychonauts and Voodoo Vince to that list and I'd say you're golden.

I'll make a slight concession - I kinda liked it the first time (if only to get the story, but it's recapped in part three, and the canonical ending is the hard-to-get one anyway), but when I tried to replay the entire series, I couldn't find it in me to redo "Warrior Within". The replay value was nonexistent for me, and I could only see the flaws (granted, the soundtrack is the most glaring one perhaps). But that may just be me.

Oh, and I second the Splinter Cell games. They were FAR better than I thought, since I've never enjoyed any other "Tom Clancy" game.

Agreed, 2 is bigger, better designed (a lot) harder but also fairer.

Freedom Fighters is an excellent game too.
