I was wondering about those satisfying moments in gaming. What was the most satisfying thing that happened to you in a game? To me, it was the chiling moment of silence during a COD4 "Showdown" match. A small map, filled with trigger happy nutjobs in perfect nirvana. Its almost an holy experience.

I blatantly and obviously ran into the enemy base and stole their flag then ran back without any support in vietcong. I did that 3 times in a row. Then they finally got their act together and the game became surprisingly tactical and cerebral. It was more humorous than satisfying.

That was a pretty fun multiplayer game lol, liked it more than CS

Just had a goof one on TF2; I covered the capture point with spike bombs, as the message that the base was being captured came up, I blew them up. I got eight kills in one detonation. I was pleased.

The first incredibly satisfying moment from a game that springs to mind would have to be from Oblivion. I don't think this could be said to be my 'most' satisfying moment, but it's the only one that springs to mind right now.

I don't remember too many details, but it was essentially a perfect headshot with a bow from a very long distance away. The two things that made it so satisfying were the fact that one of my friends was watching me play at the time and was in awe and also the fact that, when I finally reached the corpse's location, the arrow had hit him straight between the eyes.

Running behind enemy lines, then using silenced weapons killing them all one by one, from the back working my way to the front. And thats basically my tactic in all CoD4 games.

Most Satisfing = Tie
SWTFU Good Ending- I was dead but the plot was so beutiful it made up for terrible gameplay.
Oblivion Main Quest- When Martin sacrifises himself. He was like my character's best freind.
Fable- Both endings - Defeating Thunder for the lady - Getting out of Jail (The jail part of the game was so angering, I wanted to rip Jack's face off)
Bioshock- Getting all the peices of art for that Crazy sicko, you know the one
Warcraft 3- Undead ending Arthas = BAMF
Civ 4- Anything and Everything

Least Satisfying
Bioshock - The ending
Spore - The ending ( I hate Steve, If you beat the game you know)
Oblivion - Dark brotherhood ending - Gamplay was so much fun. would have been better if you had to assasinate someone every week
World of Warcraft - Nuf said

Well I was playing Legend of Heroes, the third one for the PSP. I was on the last boss, and I swear I had attempted to beat this boss at least 20 times before, finally, with all my team dead, no items, and little health left (And about my 21st time through), I gave a last blow, which in turn killed off that S.o.B.

I was playing through the highest difficulty setting of The Force Unleashed the other day, this time shooting for the Dark Side ending. During the second duel with Vader, I was down to my last chunk of health, and I knew it was only a matter of time before I was killed. I was desperately dashing about, trying to stay alive and fight at the same time. Somehow, I managed to Force Grip a chunk of debris and send it at Vader, lowering his health just enough to trigger the Quick Time Finish. I jumped forward and seized the opportunity.

Honestly, it's the ONLY time I've been grateful for a Quick Time Event, and it was immensely satisfying.

DOTA Game. I was still very new and didn't understand what items to get and how to get them, etc. We were losing pretty badly and I was playing sniper, the whole team left except for ONE guy who hated me, and it was us vs the whole team. The teammate who hated me, coached me, and we both ran an amazing defensive game and frustrated the other team of five players so that they left one by one until the host finally left and we all dropped. World Tree defended.

TF2. We were playing one of the bombcart levels, I forget the name honestly. I was on Demoman, Blueteam, offense. We ripped through the redteam in short order, pushing to their final cap quickly, but then someone on their team left and I died, so I got AUTO balanced to the RED Team. I don't know if I'd say it was ME that turned it around, but I proceeded to rack up over a dozen kills and only three deaths bombed the hell out of everyone who tried to push the cart into the final area, as well as lobbing grenades through windows and onto catwalks. In the end we held them off until time ran out and Red Team won the round.

DoA 4 online, when ever someone does a rising kick and I insta-counter it. I smile everytime.
That or pulling off the sticky grenade with the spartan. I miss DoA :(

A really satisfying moment was in a COD4 Team Hardcore game earlier. We were fighting for the high ground on 'District', and kept respawning in the middle of the action. The only way to describe it, however cliché it may be, was 'Epic'.

I hope you mean "I wish I did it." Because there must be something wrong with you if you want to be headshotted through someone's crotch.

I very much liked throwing an imp's fireball back at it with the plasma grabber in Resurrection of Evil... I mean, finally getting to give those stupid imps a taste of their own fiery death was quite cathartic.

I also greatly enjoyed killing Glarthir in Oblivion.

Every time you find and kill a colossus in Shadow of the Colossus is top
The most recent would be in GTA IV when I sniped a guy in the leg then twice in the small of the back before he hit the ground.

Hearing that little "thup" when you hit someone in CoD4, or getting 2 headshots in one shot.

In Battlefield: Bad Company, I was playing the multiplayer and I got 28 kill streak with my knife, that was very satisfying, especially since I managed to take down the guy who killed me along with me by tossing a grenade

Any curb kick in gears of war or killing an enemy jumping out of a furnace with a head-shot with a magnum in an instant (RE4), THAT WAS SO HARDCORE!

Killing the last boss Raam in gears of war on hardest difficulty (think it's insane or something to that extent)

Full Completing Zelda games, always a nice satisfaction feeling from that.

Loincloth Rampages on Oblivion (this is a game me and my friend invented, basically you strip naked apart from your loincloth and a weapon and see how much damage, bounty and kills you can get before dying ^^)

No- don't do it, PersianLlama!

Another greatly satisfying gaming moment for me was when, in Oblivion (again), I hit Mehrunes Dagon with a fireball and he melted into a steaming pile of reddish jello.... Before reforming, that is.....

Great song, but it gets old when you start seeing it derailing perfectly good threads.
Geez........

Um...Well, I really loved the part in HL2 when I got to use the deus-ex-machina-superpowered gravity gun to fling combine troops around
