I mean, I know most of you guys are just proposing these for fun, but some people might believe that their characters will actually make it in...Snake only made it in cuz he was in Metal Gear in the eighties. |

Actually, Hitio Kajimi(No, I don't know how to spell it), the creator of the Metal Gear series wanted Snake in Melee but that didn't happen. So Snake got in because him creator wanted him in. |

I dunno. I've seen peach used effectively before. you have to be a very deceptive fighter to work with her as she's very tricky to play but I've seen it done fairly well. King Dedede is ridiculously slow but nearly all his attacks will launch you off the screen. he balances out with a few quick and weak attacks, making him decent all around. he's probably my fave new character to play. sure, his UP + B is unnecessarily hard to aim and easy to disrupt, but it still has uses. though it DOES need to be balanced a bit better. and as for new characters, I'm not too worried aside from Mega Man, who is long overdue. what i'd like to see is a customizable fighter option. the ability to pick a skill set for your fighter from among the games that player has appeared in would add a TON to the game (like picking between fighter kirby or ice kirby. or mario with items from SMB3 vs item from mario galaxy. even characters who don't have many games could easily be given different moves), in my opinion. could even add in the Mii as a fully customizable fighter with the ability to make a full custom loadout from generic moves. this way the character get much more deep without requiring nintendo to find more random obscure characters no one cares about. |

RE Clones: I'm actually quite pleased with the lack of clone characters in Brawl, Melee had Falcon/Ganondorf, Pikachu/Pichu, Mario/Dr Mario, Link/Young Link, Marth/Roy. The closest to a clone in Brawl is probably Marth/Ike, but even that is fairly distinct between the two. |

link and toon link are clones still but the cant realy do much else with hem besides make oon link ph one and give him a hammer or something well on to my wants |

And Yugi-Oh could would work well as a character similar to the Pokemon trainer. If you don't like Yu-Gi-Oh, tough shit; the concept works! |

In Brawl, they decided to bring in third party characters. Fun Fact: Metal Gear was an NES game. Also, Snake's creator wanted him in. Sonic was the most wanted character for Brawl because of the rivalry between Mario and Sonic in the '90s. |

You could well ask "What would Peach do in a fight? Wait for Mario?". Actually I might be wrong here but I don't think Captain Falcon was a fighter before the Smash Brothers games, but then he made the Falcon Punch famous. |
