I found FFXII to be an insipid bore and the character designers were on a belt fetish or somethin

I'm sorry to say that I just didn't find Halo that great, don't get me wrong it is a good game and I can understand why people like it, but it just never gripped me personally, the story wasn't that interesting, the actual gameplay itself isn't unique or original and it just doesn't sit right with me, just to me it isn't as good as everyone says it is. It also bugs me that most FPS games are trying to basically clone Halo, if they don't then most of the time it's reviewed as 'not as good as halo' which I think is a bit silly really.

Crackdown. I tried it - the controls felt sloppy, the premise seemed weak and the game overall seemed repetitive.

Goldeneye. The ONLY thing this game had going for it was that it was a console FPS with supposedly a decent multiplayer. Problem is, compared to proper FPSs from years previously its complete rubbish.

Silent Hill 2:
Bad controls, bad level design, annoying fog, dull, annoying backtracking and searching for items.
Overall, it's just boring. I stopped playing when I was half way through the first building and I've heard that it doesn't really progress past walking around dank and miserable corridors while searching for items.

COD4 multiplayer:
I loved the single player but the multiplayer was just boring and repetitive. TF2 > COD4 multiplayer.

Ico:
Shadow of the Colossus is one of my favourite games but, so far, I can't really get into Ico. It just seems like a really long escort mission with some nice scenery, sluggish combat and half decent puzzles.

I have a few.

GTA4 - I dunno, maybe being 20 I feel I've out grown this franchise..
Spore - this is mainly based on my best friend..He thinks it's the best thing since porn.
Halo - I think I've expressed my opinion about this series enough on this site, heh.
Gears of War - extremly simplistic game, with THE MOST disappointing boss fight ever: Corpser

Mine would have to be:

Halo 3 - For ruining both Halo 1 and 2 with it's story, or rather lack of depth. Not that Halo's story, game-wise, has had alot of depth in general...But they switched the focus back to the incredibly boring Master Chief...Instead of at least giving us a few Arbiter levels, or cutscenes, they put it back to the space marine in armor whose character is one up above Gordon Freeman, but below everyone else...

I hate the fact that MOST Star Wars games tend to follow the formula "Jedi = Fun". I've played as a Jedi since Outcast and, quite honestly,I'm bored with it...Thank the lord for games like Republic Commando and Force Unleashed. Even though you play as a Dark Jedi in Force Unleashed, its done so that you feel badass...Not that your just manipulating a giant cutscene (eg. KOTOR 1 and 2)

Who decided that turn based fighting systems would equal fun? I would personally like to slap whomever thought up Lord of The Rings: The Third Age...and Final Fantasy's various "sequels".

Also, due to my hate for stealth based games with the very SECOND you trip an alarm it's game over, I rather disliked the Metal Gear Solid series and, to a lesser extent, Splinter Cell.

Everyone knows Escape From Monkey Island was a bit wazz. But I thought the much-celebrated Curse was also a considerable step down from its predecessors. Maybe it was the gangly new Guybrush. Maybe it was the spoken voices, stealing all the dryness from the rapier-like wit. I'm not sure... the magic just wasn't there.

Someone's already mentioned Mass Effect. Truly, is there another game so beautiful, so lovingly crafted, so deep and intricate, containing SUCH a hideous combat element?

And then there's EVE Online. Never has the awe and splendour of spreadsheets found such an unlikely champion amongst so many.

I just like Doom3 so much better than Half-Life 2. I played through D3 three times. I tried HL2 once, played it for 2 hours or something and was bored as hell. Never played it again.
I noticed that the majority of the internet sees it the other way around, no idea what´s going on with me.

I have never cared for the Grand Theft Auto Series.

I mean, I think when I was fifteen I went to a friends house and played the game a bit. But besides driving away from the cops and beating up hookers for their money, I simply did not and still don't see the appeal to this game. To me it just seems like a game that involves you driving from point A to Point B. . .Then take Package to Point C, then going back to Point A for some Info, then driving to Point D while not getting caught by the cops. From what I can tell, the main character is nothing more than a package boy.

Not sure if the game has changed much since then, but there's was just nothing about it I liked.

I don't really like Metal Gear Solid either, but thats more because I just don't like Stealth. I prefer blowing my opponent away with a Rocket Launcher than slitting his throat. It makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. X3

The Elder Scrolls series. I've always hated them. They're boring, monotonous and grind with a side of puss. Soul Calibur too. I never liked them. Although saying that I liked Tekken.

Assassin's Creed, GTAIV, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War 2, the Entire Halo Series, all of Devil May Cry (yes, not limited to part 2!), Neverwinter Nights (first AND second), every Elder Scrolls game and of course just about any game with "Sim" in the title.

Just realized I spend way too much time with games I don't like.

Gears of War, I just dont get it. It feels like a halo rip off generic FPS with bad athmosphere no immersion and a wide color pallet ranging from brown to grey.

Ocarina of Time. I know, probably gonna get flamed into oblivion for that one, but I'm sorry playing a 3D version of LTTP was not fun or original.

And while I'm at it, Super Mario Galaxy. It was more fun when it wasn't the bastard child of Super Mario 64 and the Milkman level of Psychonauts.

Any RPG that is turn-based, I just don't understand where the "fun" comes in to it.

I love turn-based combat (except in FF). You even have to think sometimes what you are going to do.(DDS)

Probably Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. I thought it was so boring and confusing.

I am NEVER going to play Rambow Six: Vegas.

-Halo series.

For pretty much every reason everyone has said here.

-Half Life 2 series

Sure its' better than most FPSes I've played but I really mostly got it to screw around with the Gmod back in 2006. And because it was only $20 and the Gmod back then was absolutely free. (I had way mroe fun posing Father Grigori to look like he's throwing Gman in the swivel chair down the stairs as Gman's ONE weakness than I did playing the game. Thank you Ravenholm.)

-Team Fortress 2
To me I just saw Counter-Strike...except it looks like it was designed by Pixar. Dunno I give them credit for making people appreciate an artstyle.

-Shadow of the Colossus
WHY is the Prince of Persia-err I mean Wanderer running like the designers have never seen a real person run before? WHY does he not mount my horse? why does it look like the designers of the graphical engine wore several pairs of sunglasses and stared directly into the sun to get the idea on how the envrionment should look? I didn't think this was anything that special, even if it was different than the other games out there.

-Xenosaga
Meh couldn't get into it.

Half Life 2. I enjoyed the game and thought it was well done, but I fail to see why people drool over these games. Honestly, I found it no different than Halo in the quality department. The story was fine, game play solid, but overall it felt like every other shooter I have played. The "freedom" you had in the cut scenes where nothing special like some people make it out to be. In the end the results are the same, even though you can control your view and sometimes movement, it does not affect the overall game so big freaking whoop, not special in my books. Sufficed to say it was still a good game.

Ya know, the only game I actually didn't like that a lot of people do is Gears of War. Personally in my honest opinion third person shooter games shouldn't exist. Third person is "ok" in Star wars battlefront, but I still hate the hell out of it. GoW just made me realise it, played it for 15 minutes and sold it on ebay.

Gears of War. I dunno, it just felt unpolished to me.

GTA IV. There are many series that could benefit from realism. GTA is not one of them. Give us a realistic and physics if you want, but it really bites into the fun of a rampage when it is impossible to speed around a corner at 50 miles an hour, because it isn't "realistic enough."

Oblivion, easially. A mate of mine told me it was the best game he'd ever played and I still havn't forgiven him for it. I was so glad when Yahtzee shat all over it. Basically, he describes exactly why I hate it. That, and it ran so, so slow on my computer.

I'm afraid to say that I seem to have the same idealogies and interests as the common masses. There aren't many game-related interests in which I differ greatly from what is the stereotypical norm. Atleast for a hardcore gamer. As in I hate all the JRPGs that are supposedly 'good'.

Basically everything except HL2, Portal, and Zelda. Everything else I either don't like, or isn't popular. Stupid perfectionism.
