I hear ya... I usually just stab them when that happens... In CS:S it happens a lot in the gungame server I regularly play that shots don't register properly... admittedly this is rather aggravating as you sort of expect people to die when you shoot them twice in the face with a shotgun... You don't really expect them to just stand there and kill you while you look baffled at the screen going "...the fuck?". Lag in JKA can also go fuck itself with the whole "refusing to register hits" bs. But admittedly that's mostly my fault for playing in a US server when I'm European... Another thing that pisses me off to no end is Jinpaichi in Tekken5 (i.e: Grandfather of all cheap things). He has these couple extremely cheap and annoying moves that can turn the tide of the game in a second regardless of how well you play, namely his AoE-super-fast-stun that can basically cause him to stun you for about 10 seconds regardless of whether or you're standing, crouching, jumping or lying prone, and consequently mangle you, faster than you can throw a simple punch or kick. |

I'm outside his sanctum and not paying attention cause I thought I had killed everything. All of a sudden, five abyss lords shoot their holy-shit-I'm-gettin-shot-at balls of crap at me. Dead. Didn't even manage to take one with me. And I thought I was about to have that final fight, but then, of course, I had to go get my stuff (and of course I had to do it while under assault by the same assholes that just killed me). *sigh* It sucked. |

Eh? I'm probably ignorant for saying this, but it sounds like it has something to do with Mario. |
Anonymous Source Posts: 9 Joined: 16 Aug 2008 | Here's one that was just shitty luck. Playing God of War on God difficulty, I had finally beat the second stage of the last boss battle, when all of a sudden my playstation 2 freezes up. I literally left the game alone for 5 hours hoping it would mysteriously unfreeze itself so I wouldn't have to start all over again. It took me like 15-20 more tries to beat the second stage. After that, I beat the final stage in one try. |

The exact same thing but the lepar pushes you into water and you die! AND YOU HAD TO TRY 50 TIMES JUST TO FINISH THAT LEVEL DAMN YOU LEPAR!!!! |

The Lepers (spelling ire, deal with it) are a pain, but your supposed to avoid them by going along the boats and dockpoles in the harbor. And just to show off my brain-muscles, there are only Drunks in that section. |

Battlefront II - Protecting the shelves in the Jedi Library. Grrrrrrr. San Andreas, while parachuting to safety at the end of the Casino heist mission, I'm floating down to earth next to a multi-story car park. There's a cop car on the third level, parked next to the wall. The cop gets out of the car, through the wall, walks over thin air for two steps and arrests me, still wearing the parachute, IN MID AIR! Oh, and any game that has escort quests. They are frustration's ultimate weapon! |

Also, why the fuck did they make the button for open door and retrieve item from briefcase/toolbox/package the same? I would walk up to a door with armed guards on either side and a briefcase with guns in it, I would get searched, be allowed through, then press open door/close door and whip out the guns, there goes your stealth. |

I was running from my opponent for one of those portals, and he shot me in the head right as I was about to step into it. I hit him for it, I was so mad. |

I got a perfect on him on the hardest difficulty. I was playing with Asuka. I got three of those spinning kicks off in a row on him. After that, I didn't play for two days. |

Anonymous Source Posts: 6 Joined: 1 Oct 2008 | I have 2 times where i wanted to literally rip my hair out. #1 In CoD, i forget the name of the level, But your in the television station, that room with al the cubicals. Ugh, i had to try that about 20 times to get it right. and then i couldnt beat it again. #2 In mass effect, my first play through. I got to one of the first "main quest plaents" after saving liara and doing every side quest to that point. I cant remember what the name of the planet was, but it began with an F, and it had that big plant creature thing under the citizens. Anyway, after i do the whole level and get to the very end, im in the elevator that has a load screen, and i save as soon as i get done with the load. I only had one save at the time (stupid me) Anyway, i didnt want to kill any civilans, so when killed one by accident, i tried to load my other game, only to find that when it loaded, i was stuckin the elevator because the door was glitched. I looked it up online and found i had to start the whole game over. It was so messed up. |

I've gotten perfect on him too, the issue is that it's more random chance/retarded AI, than actual player skill, which is extremely annoying. Jinpaichi is, so far, the only character I know that can consistently perfect ANY other character regardless of skill if he abuses the right moves... There's just no way around them, specially the AoE stun that can break basically any attack and leaves you there waiting for whatever attack he feels like doing, he has plenty of time for ANY of them. |

Copy Clerk Posts: 70 Joined: 5 Jun 2008 | Assassins creed when i was carefully sneaking through a crowd to go assassinate my target only to find a small cart in the middle of the crowd which my character decided to hop on, do a dance and jump off after about 10 seconds of allowing every guard within a hundred million miles to finish eating his lunch, grab his sword and join the queue of guys waiting to hack my lonesome self to pieces. Was really annoying at the time because he refused to stop dancing ontop of a cart in plan view no matter what controls i mashed, Although i've had many a good laugh about it afterwards since it was freaking hillarous |

In Rock Band 2, you get to the 80th song in the Endless Setlist, but than your 360 flashes the Red Ring of Death at the last minute. EDIT: But as for something that really happened, i would say Ninja Gaiden |

Okay, this is not like those two threads that are basically the same about funny kills or deaths. It can be funny, but it doesn't have to be. This is about parts or levels of games that just piss you off, or some time when it just didn't go your way. maybe you accidentally stirred up a shit storm just when you didn't need it, or maybe a level, boss, or even a multiplayer deathmatch or something in a game that despite your best efforts just kicks your ass. Any time you've had bad luck, or a game just pissed you off to no end. Maybe you're playing and you've just - almost - got it- and then bam! dead, just before you manage to succeed.
Here's one of mine: I was playing KOTOR and I was in the sith facility on that watery planet (the one with the firaxan sharks). Not the one that was under the water, but the Sith headquarters on that planet. Anyways, it was that one room full of Sith troopers with a couple Dark Jedi and a Sith captain. I tell ya, that one just kept on gettin me. The thing is, I had played through KOTOR before and until this time had not trouble with this part. I kept getting stuck in Force Whirlwind by one of the Dark Jedi, while everyone else shot me or killed my party members. I broke the controller I was using, I threw it so many times. I propbably died more than six times in that room alone.
