it shouldn't, gamers shouldn't be blamed for figuring out a mistake that the programmers didn't find. but chances are you'll start out unpopular in the game or something like that.

they put it in on purpose to test if you were going to take advantage of it or not. It's a very clever way to help decide the whole good or evil thing without people realizing imediately that they're being tested. It was never really a glitch as they always intended to put it in, so yes you should be punished though most likely it wont be a punishment so much as you'll prolly start with more money but already have a negative alignment

I remember reading something that said if you took advantage of the exploit & start the game with an excess of money, your characters appearance would reflect that, i.e. you'd appear like a miser, crooked & twisted by the corruption of money.

Maybe also people attitudes would be negative & you'd be dubbed with a negative title, kind of like the classic "Arseface" but less desirable.

Don't quote me on this though, I'm half remembering what someone else said & probably half guessing based on how I think Molyneux's mind & the Good/Evil mechanics of Fable 2 work.

Oh my god, if that is true than Fable2 deserves to be labeled the best game ever just for that.

You people are very easily impressed. It's quite clever if it was intended in such a way, but "best game ever" simply because of that? Please.

Seconded.

But hey at least you got two living examples on why the industry is in the toilet huh?

Bullshit!!! It wasn't even Lionhead who created the Pubgames...I think they overlooked something when they were creating the game, hoped no one would find out, then, when people did, they had to find a decent cover story for the mistake. In anycase, don't connect to live, then start your fabel 2 game...

"The glitch was no accident, and people who exploited it are in for a surprise."
BS. It's a total bluff, why did they even go through all the trouble to try and fix it quickly if they put it in on purpose? If this is true though, it would be cool if they had something like Mr. Resetti from Animal Crossing where somebody comes and gives you a big lecture about how you're a terrible person for cheating.

Wait so its so unbelieveable to test your character in a game and it must ship flawlessly?

Some people you can't please.

If it was meant to be in the game, then why bother to fix it at all...in fact, why not just tell people that there's a glitch, or better yet, program some loaded dice for keystone, or let your character use slight of hand to change a card on fortunes tower, and while we're at it, perhaps the spinnerbox should punish you for tilting the machine...and for those kids who are too young to know what "Tilting" is, ask your parents...

Not very unbelievable, just very unlikely. It would be cool if the glitch was planned from the beginning, but I just doubt it.

Maybe they fixed it afterwords because everyone was taking advantage of it and some people want to role-play not play as themselves. Just A Thought [/Ultracaps]
