i think the most satisfying sound ever in a game was the headshot sound in GOW. I don't know why but the crunch is so awesome

My favorites are:
The *thunk* noise a grenade makes in CoD4 when you shoot it out of a launcher and hit somebody.

and In Pokemon Snap when you take a good picture, "WONDERFUL" best voice ever.

Ohshit goes to Gears when I hear a Torque Bow shoot off/ the dinging sound of a grenade tag.

My favorite noise?
Well, its not really a game, but I quite like the noise when you get an Achievement, it makes me feel accomplished :)

And my least favorite? The sound of your leg cracking when you take fall damage in Call Of Duty 4.

One of the most satisfying noises for me is the metallic *clang* a Garand makes when you've emptied the clip. Then again, depending on how many enemies are currently trying to make me shuffle from my mortal coil, this can also be one of worst sounds to hear.

Agreed, the worst sound ever in a FPS is the dreaded *click* of an empty magazine.

Original Doom shotgun blast. (Not the double-barreled one) Easily my favourite gaming shotgun of all time.

By extension, original Doom shotgun combined with the thud of a dead pinky demon hitting the floor. I can't think of many things more satisfying to listen to.
