If you would have one piece of the Triforce what piece would you want?

Obviously, Triforce of courage, followed by nabbing all the other ones.
Hero of Time FTW.

The bottom one.
I don't know what each piece does, but the bottom one seems like the most logical choice.
It supports the two others.
Is there even a bottom piece? What does the triforce look like again?

The triforce of power.

The triforce of courage wouldn't help if you're really weak.

The triforce of wisdom doesn't make you smart, hence why Zelda is still continuously captured.

The Triforce of Cake.

They have one of those, right? I mean, they should. As many perils and dungeons I have to hazard just so I have enough gadgets to properly target the bad guy's weakpoint, don't I deserve some fucking cake at the end?

Wait, do the triforce pieces actually do anything? I thought they only fuse with a person who believes in that ideal, and are only all powerful when they become one.

Can't remember, I heard Zelda used it to turn into Sheik though.

Resisting the near-obligatory Portal reference. You shouldn't set yourself up for stuff like that.

On topic:

I'd say wisdom.
You don't need courage, cause courage comes from fear, and if you know what you're doing (a.k.a wisdom), you've got nothing to be afraid of.

You don't need power, because if video games have taught us anything, it's that every baddy has a weakness, and no matter how weak you are, if you figure out it's weakness (a la wisdom), you can defeat it.

A triforce piece grants you whatever its name is. The exact manner in which it does this depends on the person. Gannondorf got the Triforce of power and it granted him armies of undead and spirits. Link got courage and became brave enough to do whatever it took to save the world. Zelda got wisdom and...well.. became smarter?

I'd take Power and use it to acquire the other two pieces. While one could argue that Wisdom would help you more, it would probably take time, and no matter how wise you are some situations are impossible without brute force .

Courage, not sure why, jujst sounds more awesome.

"G, keeper of the Tri-Force of Courage!"

Then again it just makes me sound like i've payed a visit to the Emerald city with my misfit friends the scraggy bag of straw, the rusty axe-weilding robot and the little girl with the dog.

Wisdom. Build myself a time machine with my neverending knowhow and nab the other triforce chunks.

Courage really only lets you make stupid decisions regardless of the consequences.

I'd want the Triforce of Wisdom. I'd be smart enough to take apart a car that belongs to my nemesis, then put it back together in the owner's bathroom, but wise enough to think better of it and watch Wheel of Fortune instead.

Courage

I always assumed it was the triforce of courage that rescued link after he jumped off a cliff or something. As long as he has some extra harts, he's fine; even after being roasted alive in lava.

I think the way it worked was that when Gannondorf touched the complete Triforce, he only got the Triforce of power, the other two splitting off to Link and Zelda respectively. So it's not like he got a choice in the matter, it just got whatever was his dominant characteristic and/or desire.

Which means whatever universal laws that govern the Triforce are really set up for power-mad dictators taking over things, which probably isn't that good.

Oh right, didn't Gannondorf use his to take over hyrule while link was asleep too? That definitely made him more powerful. I don't think the triforce of courage made link any braver, though. He was out killing monsters and rescuing princesses as a kid, so he didn't really change too much as he got older.

Triforce of Courage is probably how Link is allowed to wield the Master Sword.

POWER!

I've had this question asked of me before and I always pick power.

I don't want courage because only fools do not fear. There is a upside to wisdom, but against power...

I pick power.

Because he's a very well-spoken poster, of course.

I mean, why else would he get banned?

Click the link under his words that says "user was banned for...", and you shall know.

Anyways, I would pick whatever piece lets me do this.

Fuck the world, I could rule the universe!

Power, because getting the other two (if possible) would become easier.
