Alright, I've been in Europe for a month, exploring the continent and such and hence I have missed every game released from The End of August until Today, so... what came out? what's good?
All systems please, and no mention of Spore, I just went and got a copy.

You really haven't missed much game wise. Though there are a fair few coming up soon. Really the only title worth picking up for me would be Fifa 09. But then I'm English and like most here, a huge football fan.

i'm English and I despise football with a hate only normally reserved for people who walk slowly in front of me when I'm trying to get somewhere quickly.

TBH you've missed very little, filled the summer game drought with your interesting European Holiday, back just in time for the games to appear for the christmas rush.

I am very jealous of the awesome public transit, kick ass food and walkability of the cities over there.

So you went to France, Germany or Switzerland then?

The Force Unleashed is an incredible game. If you like picking people up and throwing them, or hurling things at people, this game is incredible. If you aren't into the whole fighting your way through dozens of enemies with a lightsaber, then maybe this game isn't for you. I loved this game though, and HEARTILY recommend it....

I'm English and a football fan... but not a FIFA fan. (In real life, too - Sepp Blatter truly is a bell-end.)
