I don't play games where you can team kill. Too much of a pain in the ass to deal with those pricks.

Only two viable reasons to teamkill: they are impeding the team, eg. standing in doorways, taking ammo and not using it, etc. Not being useless. Being useless is OK. Being obstructively useless, however, gets you stabbed.

The other one is if they did it to you first as a joke. Then you absolutely must murder them back, no matter the time or place. In the middle of a game-changing fight with the other team is the most hilarious time.

I've never teamkilled except completly by accident..like firing a grenade or a rocket at an enemy too close to an ally.

Also I kill team killers.

And in some games, sometimes when i'm on edge and a teammate runs up on me i'll fire without thinking, on instinct. Usually this doesn't result in deatht hough.

My reasons:

1) "oops sorry man" or "why did you run into my line of fire/nade dumbass!?"

2) "stop being a team killing asshole *shoots him in head* told you to stop trying to TK"

3) "hey get out of the doorway....hello?...he aint there....*BANG* oh well, he should have gone afk somewhere else"

I used to be a Warhawk junkie, and this game was filled with TKers, I'd have to say the only time that it's appropriate to TK first (payback is a MUST) is if someone is hiding in a corner with the flag waiting for their flag to be returned to so they can place the enemy flag down for points. After this is over, if they're still sitting in the corner, I'll kill them, and capture the flag.

It seems that every team I've been on has some newb prick annoying enough for you to "accidently" nade him in the back of the head.

I never team-kill, even if I'm being fired at. Hell no, I'm not taking a penalty for self-defense! Sometimes though, I may accidentally kill someone if they get in my line of fire.

Usually it's that friendly fire is turned off.

I don't team kill. Only happens in games with friends list peoples. Also, Sniping is a bitch when I have a six year old on my team *Halo, COD4, cough-cough*. They get in my way and then yell at me or boot me. I am straight, and my mother ain't fat.

A group of friends and I were playing Halo 3 online, well our group got seperated and 3 of us were on a team while the other guy was placed on the opposite, Well the other three guys left the game (Not sure why) So in the interest of fairness I decided to 'join' his team to make it 2-3. It made for an interesting dynamic when the others guy weren't sure which Blue Guys they could trust.

Normaly its my dammed jumpiness resulting in the person on my team whos just made me jump gettinga full clip into the face and then another on their corpse just make sure :D other than that its people walking in the line of fire (esp when scoped in on a 6x assault rifle-rainbow 6 vegas 2) Excuses at this point are pretty much anything Marcus Fenix from Gears of War would say.

Enemies going around the corner and then popping back out as friendlies has caused me to unload a clip into them before. Generally I only teamkill as revenge for getting teamkilled first, or if one particular douche is just running around teamkilling everyone, I'll step in to help sort the problem out.

If they get in the way mostly, sometimes I do the counter-team kill if they're persistent.

For some reason I often throw a punch at someone not playing if I pass them, never kill them though.

It's just too much fun. Seriously, I do it in Halo 3 all the time. My brother and I have it down to a science, where we kill our teammate right after he's been shot by an enemy, so the game gives us the benefit of the doubt by awarding the kill to the enemy, not us. This is best done with the sniper rifle, where you just shoot them in the body after they've taken even the slightest amount of damage. Oh, and it's not jsut limited to team killing: blocking doorways, blowing up team vehicles, wasting team resources, and carrying the flag away from the capture point are all good fun too.

My cousin and his friend formed a group called the Mafia Hit Squad (they now include me as member).

Whenever some one annoys us we kill him Godfather-style, whether he's on our team or not. No excuses, no mercy.

Whenever I team kill, it's always accidental. Unless I'm avenging my death by a teamkiller who specifically meant to kill me. Here are a few anecdotes:

1)I was sniping, finally got my crosshair on the enemy's face, I click the trigger... a teammate gets in the way. No, it's not like his leg got in the way, he was running by, and his head was in the way. In THE DISTANCE, close to my target. I was pissed, cus my target ran away after I finished reloading.

2)So I'm exiting the base and heading towards the enemy. This guy walks up to me and knifes me. He was on my team, but I figured he could've just been trigger happy and didn't notice we were on the same team. Okay. I respawn at the base, start leaving, and I'm knifed down again. Same guy. I'm a patient guy, so I respawn again and start to leave. Knifed down again. I respawn and leave a different way, knifed down again. I respawn this time and start looking for him, and Shoot him on site. Of course, he's evasive, so it took a few more seconds than usual to gun him down. Feeling accomplished, and down 25 points (-10 team damage, -15 team kill), I start out of the base, and there's an enemy tank heading my way. Considering I'm not equipped to take it out, I hide in a building and wait for my teammates to take it out, throwing a grenade or two from time to time. I exit the building and head out of camp, and the same loser that was knifing me before gunned me down.

(both events were on Battlefield: Bad Company)

I only usually team kill when the people on my team are inconceivably crap at the game or do idiotic things such as lie down in a doorway or choke point so nobody else can get past, or when my team consists of screaming retards hurling random insults about just to pretend they actually have a pair.

i frequently team kill on enemy territory: quake wars but that's more a product of people not often playing alongside an oppressor and not clearing the enemy tank fast enough. if i say "incoming" i MEAN incoming! that and the fact that they always seem to blow ambushes with their ridiculous "i am teh sn1p3r" routine and end up getting mobbed. when i see that i feel justified in locking in an artillery strike with a song in my heart ;)

i always issue a warning with a target though e.g.

"artillery firing for effect, tank near refinery, clear impact zone."
"whats the objective again?"

So damn funny. I think line of fire is good, except if you are playing an fps, say CS:S, and your team is rushing and some f**khead, for better use of the word, sits back and awps while trying to shoot in between team mates. This never ends well.

No reason, I just like doing things like that [/Warriors] [seriousness]unless it's in a game with only friends of mine I don't do it, even if someone's in the way I prefer to just yell at them for sucking [/seriousness]

It's usually by accident, but I think MGO handles team killing nicely.

If you hit one of your teammates, wether it be by accident or on purpose, your gun stops working saying "SOP Friendly Fire System" causing you to not be able to fire anymore, so you're punished. Another option would be if you kill a team member you die also.

But it's still possible to team kill, headshotting or if the friend barely has any health left.

Usually it is in retaliation to someone else's team kill. But sometimes the wrong person will walk into an ambush and BLAM. Sorry.

The only time I (mostly) teamkill is when the bastard's a team killer himself or doing some other thing like cheating or screwing around and screwing other people up or whatever.

I'll admit that there is the occasional time I just screw around and kill some team mates, but almost never. I hate teamkillers, and I try not to be one.

Except the accidents of course. Which aren't common either, since I'm always so good at the games and in control of my shots.

My 5 top excuses:

1) I forgot what team I was on. Seriously, red, blue, it changes so often that I forget from game to game. I even invaded the wrong base during a game of CTF on Coagulation in Halo 2.

2) I'm twitchy. In tense moments I'll shoot anything, including walls. Hey, you never know when someone is invisible.

3) He was being a jerk and/or he looked like he was going to T.K. me first.

4) He ran into my line of fire.

5) The people on my team are usually easier to kill than the people on the other team. I've used this once, and it wasn't a serious game anyway.

I find it's a lot easier to just admit that I suck at multiplayer and am prone to accidentally killing the wrong person on occasion. It's why I don't play multiplayer that often.

Either its a legitamate accident or for TKing me on purpose without a reason. I played a game of V.I.P. in Halo 3 today and was the first V.I.P. two guys on my team had the brilliant idea to right off the bat team kill me, needless to say they were booted very fast.

It's usually on accident when I'm not playing with friends. On Halo 3 I was in a banshee and there were three of my teammates in a warthog. There was another teammate standing near it, and there was one enemy really close to the warthog. I saw the enemy first and wasn't paying attention so my instinct was to fire a banshee bomb... 4 teammates killed at once.

is this online or local teamkilling?

Live:Sorry, you seemed to have accidentally shot me.60 times.let me return the favor.

Local:(the only local i play is GTA:SA anymore.)
Me and my friend are walking up Mt. Chiliad.i pull out my Sawed-off and shoot him in the face.
"sorry,i thought you were a quail."

Ok,that was in poor taste.
