Amnestic:
Bout a 8-10 years ago perhaps, I picked up a new copy of Lords of Magic: Special Edition, this old school turn based fantasy strategy game with your basic elves, giants, undead etc. Was really fun, got it for under a fiver and was well worth it. I've not seen a copy in stores since the day I bought it. I lost the disc a while ago, just before I got a new computer, so I can't play it anymore :( Was really fun though.

That game was the shit, I mainly played as order though.

Team Buddies for the PS1. It was a really simple strategy game that revolved around these small, extremely violent jelly-bean shaped people that would blow the ever-loving hell out of each other. It was cartoonish, it was silly, and it was addictive as hell.

Dreamweb on the PC for 95 cents at JB Hi Fi. I kept the price on it because I couldn't believe it.

Haunting Ground on the PS2 for $5 from someone. Better than RE in the scare factor. It doesn't need things jumping out at you for you to be OMFGWTFBBQ about it.

Both for 99 cents at EB: Mobile Forces and Sum of All Fears. MF, simply because it was alot of stupid fun and they had some of the most bitch-ass awesome explosion effects I had ever seen in a game at that time. SoaF because, frankly, it was a kick ass R6 game, regardless how short it was. It's quite retarded that it took up until Vegas for them to again make the AI smart enough to breach doors properly, as it did so long ago in SoaF. Great game. If you're a Clancy fan and let that one slip, I'd highly encourage you to check it out.

Operation flashpoin (best shooter evarrr ... sorta

Please, you can't say that.
I did the same thing (ie, bought from bargin bin). I love the idea with a great story and immersion of the game, that being you are an ordinary soldier and that war is a bitch. But when it comes down to it... it wasn't that fun. the gameplay is fairly bad and the controls are broken to the point of nearly unplayable.

I found a copy of FFX for $10 at gamestop. It was the first FF game I had ever played an I ended up loving it. I almost regret selling it after i finished it.

While I completely disagree with a) "you can't say that". b) "the gameplay was fairly bad" and c) "nearly unplayable" I will not talk about that because I am more interested in pointing out something from my own quote:

You can be forgiven for not seeing that the language I used indicated that i didn't seriously think it was the greatest shooter ever - but still, I'll cite that as my reason for politely declining to discus this further.
