I have no idea how times ACTUALLY were back a couple decades ago(since I didn't live in them), I have only the movies and perhaps the music to show me. I personally like all the nice, sophisticated clothes people wore in the 30's, 40's, 50's, etc. Honestly, I think the music is pretty good, too. For a long time I have liked the 50's era and music especially from the 40's. The people back then I feel like were more open (as in more friendly?), stuff like that.
Also, feel free to provide a realistic description of the decades you lived in.

Anyway, i don't think any specific decade is better then the other, they all have their ups and downs.

I love it right now.

The 40s, because people were much better dressed. Hats, suits and dresses, no polyester trousers and T shirts and the like. And because I have some kind of false belief that it was all in black and white in those days :D

But today is awesome, what with all the science and medicine and technology and all that useful stuff that helps us survive and develop as a species :D

I voted for the 90s for three reasons.

1)Tool came together in the 90s.

2)Bloodhound Gang came together in the 90s.

3)I was born in the 90s.

The 20's. Just awesome.

90s had the best music, and the world sort of stabilized after 50-odd years.

80's for the music, fashion and TV.

1920s for some good old fashioned anarchist/labor movement protesting and bombings.
1960s for the social unrest and an opportunity (provided I keep the knowledge of my current time and get to bring stuff) to set off a bomb at Kent State, or one of the civil rights marches where bastards were spraying people down.
