Not sure if the Lovecraftian Elder Gods count, but if they do I'm going with Nylarthotep.

If they don't, the manticore.

Manticores are fucking awesome.

A Dragon.
Not that 3-foot shit that Saint George ate alive, but the one that's 200 meters long, breathes fire and is generally awesome.

Now I know your not going to tell me you've never played Pokemon.

Nah, I'm just playing.
I wanted to point out how uninspired some of these Pokemon are (though not Snorlax in particular; it's more about the new ones).

I LOVE Snorlax. If I could be a Pokemon, that would be the one.

Does Cthulu count?

Only if you can both say and SPELL his name correctly. Cthulhu.

I'm going to say - Loki. The ultimate trickster, half-giant, half-god. Bound by nothing, enemy of nobody, ally of the chaos.

Yes, he's that awesome.

I don't know how it's spelled anymore, because I've seen it spelled in too many ways.

Werewolves and elves..... can an elf be turned into a werewolf?

In King's Bounty they can. Although doesn't "Were-" mean man? I guess they'd have a different name.

Oh, and the Minotaur for me. That, or the Barghest. It lives out on the North York Moors; I keep meaning to go look for it...

Let me warn you.
If you watch this video you'll never see unicorns, elves and transformers the same again. 0_0

Dragons. And not the crappy middle age ones. The 200 foot long ones. Anyone who read Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Last Olympian knows what I'm talking about.

Dopplegangers. Shapeshifting would be cool.
As for the ones I hate most: I'd say dwarves. Overdone and always basically the same character.

I would have to say Jörmungandr. I mean, come on, he's large enough to encircle the enitre world AND he killed Thor during Ragnarok!

Cthulhu, Yog-Sothoth, or werewolves.

Cthulhu for his name and responsability for filling the mental institutions, Yog for his infinite wisdom, and werewolves for being the perfect savage guard.

That would be a scorpicore. The HoMM-kind. Thats the upgraded manticore. (http://users.vianet.ca/grizelda/fur/HMM3v_scorpicore.gif)

And since im finnish, i have to love the finnish mythology. Out of it, i have to say that my favourite one is "näkki". Information from monstropedia.com:

In Finnish mythology, a Näkki (Estonian: Näkk) is a water spirit that resides in murky pools, wells, docks, piers and under bridges that cross rivers.

Origin
Näkki is also called Vetehinen or Vesihiisi (water fey, see Hiisi. It is closely related to the Nix in Scandinavian folklore or Russian Vodyanoi.

Description
Näkki is said to be very beautiful from the front, whereas his backside is hairy and extremely ugly. Other stories tell that a Näkki is an ugly "fishman" which can at will turn itself into a beautiful woman who either is extremely voluptuous or has three breasts or alternatively into a silvery fish, horse or a hound.

Behavior
Näkki is principally known for pulling young children into the depths, if they lean over bridge railings, docks or otherwise look into water surfaces to see their own reflection and touch the water. Näkki is a fine example of a spirit enlisted by parents to guide children away from unsafe practices.

Look out "under-the-bridge-trolls". Näkki will eat your chirldren and kick your ass!

There are many different spellings of Kthulu, as it's meant to be from an alien language.

I'm going with the Hounds of Tindalos.

They have no known appearance... but they hunt you in your nightmares. And Metallica did a song about them. Kickass.

Anything those crazy Slavic people come up with.

All the fun of superstition, all the fun of senseless violence and paranoia, none of the damn rhymes from English folklore

As far as mythical beasts go, it doesn't get as classy and badass at once than a dragon.

Somewhere in this world exists a Mythological creature so Rare... so uncommon, and so valuable, that he has barely been spotted since he was first supposedly "Discovered" almost 12 years ago.

I have a picture with me of a picture of what experts believe to be the creature sighted in 2007.

People say that this creature Nicknamed "Duke" is just a myth, there was very little evidence that he existed. The most solid proof was in 1996 when he was sighted near Strip Bars, Space Stations and even in a crater on the moon!

However, after that, he was barely ever seen again. After the huge frantic "Duke" sightings, he appears to have vanished. We occasionally get a video, a picture, but it's so uncommon, that these couldn't be the real deal.

The creature was Dubbed by experts "A waste of time" in May. And then, everything fell silent, in the world... of the Duke.

Yes, there are a lot of variations, but The Call of Cthulhu was the first book in which he appeared.

Yatzee's imp. I wanna have one as a pet because wanna make it attack my English teacher whenever he's an asshole

Seriously though, I would probably go with Frankenstein's monster. And not the staggering "Grrrrr. Fire BAD" one from the early movie
I'm talking about the one from the book. the one who is abandoned by his creator, yet acquires intelligence, the ability to read and write and a lust for revenge for being created the way he was

here's what he looks like. ish

Has to be giant fire breathing flying and all around magical dragons, sharp teeth and all. I do like the dragons from eragorn books partly because you can partner with them and second cause you can use majic because of it :D
