Nothing wrong with them, just be ABSOLUTELY sure you know what you want beforehand.

Baby Tea:

It's like a hair style...except it never leaves without painful surgery.

There's another way to remove them. It involves injecting goat's milk directly into the tattoo which draws the ink from the skin.
Then it goes mouldy from the body heat, turns septic and bursts, draining all the ink out in pus.

Laser sound better now? :)

Yeah it's as simple as that. Since the population of the escapist is largely male, I've decided to ask for another perspective.

I'm getting my first tatt tomorrow ;D

Feel free to go sick.

As long as you love it, tattoo yourself into oblivion. Fuck everyone else.
And what are ye gettin?

They can only look good on young girls, middle-aged women with tattoos look nasty. Well in my opinion anyways.

Tattoos are awesome as long as they have meaning.

I have 1 and 2 more on the way. I think they are hot on women.

Tramp stamps & japanese symbols are crass and idiotic. As are peoples names, dead babies & basically anything that isnt an actual multicolour work of art. Bubbles & stars & dolphins are just crap.

Pro-Tip :- If you get a Japanese reiki symbol tattooed on your body makes sure its the right way round.

I have 1 getting another soon, but all I can say is that I have the same rules for them on chicks as guys. Just dont get something retarded or something in a retarded place because it ISN'T coming off. My definition of a stupid tattoo: The Zune guy.

If done wrong (only seen rarely): too masculine, looks misplaced.

If done right (almost everyone i've seen) very nice looking, sometimes hot as well.

No tramp stamps. If you're getting it anywhere else, it's cool.

I don't want to get tatoos.. =\
My friend's dad told her that she could get grapes as tatoo so that when she gets old, they turn into raisens.

I actually like tatoos on women, as long as their ok looking (not some tramp stamp). I guess it depends on the person, but i have nothing against it. The important thing, i think, is to be sure you know what you want.

It depends on where it is and what it looks like.

If it's done right and in the right place, it's some of the things that attract me most to a women.

long as its not excessive. I plan on doing a collage on my back but nothing more. and all of it will be things to describe me mostly.

So, do what makes you happy and don't be afraid because of it.

I think they're good if in a subtle area and small. I recently got the Bioshock chain on my wrist. Go me.

As long as it means something, I think its cool. I really don't like it when girls get tattoos because its cute or guys get them cause its cool. It should mean something important to you or say something about you. But if you want a tribal tramp stamp that you pick off the wall that's your choice.

Depends on where it is, what it is.
I don't like it when people cover themselves with tattoo's, but other than that I quite like them. I wouldn't get one though.

Eh... I prefer clean skin, but as long as they're not too "in-your-face", like a massive dragon across your upper back then I guess they're okay. Not a deal-breaker but not something I'd seek out.

This, pretty much - no tattooes prefered, a few tattooes, alright, full body tattooes...ergh.

As long as it looks good I don't mind, I would make sure that you can hide it though. Also post a pic when it's done... as long as its clean =p

I really don't like tattoos. Most of the time they seem like a substitute for actual personalities. I'm sure that I'm not popular in that regard but oh well. If you are some type of native warrior and just went through a right of passage then I may see it, but even the ones that look awesome, and some do look awesome, I just can't help wonder if any iconic image is so dear to me that I want it immortalized on my skin.

Even a picture of a loved one seems odd. As time goes by people change and having a one moment on the body seems strangely obtuse to me. Plus the image will be so very odd as time goes by and skin changes and colors fade.

If someone is able to be an individual without any distinguishing outer features then that seems to be the most honest expression of individuality there is.

But, hey, everyone is special and no one's choice is ever bad and all.

Depends on the kind of tattoo really
if its one of those nasty ratty ones around an ankle then no, not for me
if its going down a side like from under the arm to the waste THOSE are cool
or the one on the back...

Unless you look like a walrus with a hormone imbalance, but if that's you in your picture then don't worry about it.

but that's just my humble opinion

it also depends on what it looks like

I'm fine with smallish tattoo's, but those who walk about like something that walked out of the Louvré I run from.

Tats on a girl are okay, but they have to be tasteful and not desperate attempts at hipness. So, basically what everyone has already said. However, I never intend to get a tattoo because they'll never leave without painful surgery, and I doubt there's an image I'd want on my body for the rest of my life.

As long as you don't tattoo and big rig or something like than on the entire body it's all right.

I think tattoos are ugly in general. Small ones are OK, preferably without colour. It doesn't bother me if anyone has tattoos, I just don't like the look of them.

My opinion on tattoos on women? Same as my opinion on tattoos on men: I don't think they are necessary, useful or good-looking, but if it makes the people happy, I'm fine with it.

Depends on what sort. As long as it isn't over excessively much like entire arms and such. It can look good though.

I love tattoos on girls. I suppose it helps that I've got some big tattoos as well, but I've never had a problem with how someone wishes to express themselves with their own body.

There's just the usual word of caution about tattoos - they're about as close to permanent as you can get (laser removal costs a bomb and hurts a hell of a lot more than getting a tat) so consider the choice of design carefully ;)

Other than that, good luck with it! Once you've had one, it's awful hard not to get more!

Two things:

1 - No tramp-stamps. That is the equivalent of putting a bumper sticker onto a Rolls Royce. WHY?! The female backside does not need adornment. It's wonderful the way it is. If I am back there getting that view, I'm happy. I don't need a design on top of all of that.

2 - Otherwise, I'm fine with anything from a tiny tattoo on the shoulder all the way to some crazy full-body art. As long as it fits the personality of the girl and it isn't just there for the sake of being, I don't mind.

Tats on anyone in general suck. They can have their purposes, but most of them are skanky.

I'm bias towards them, so I can't be honestly asked this question.

My advice is to find something special to you, some artwork that speaks to your very soul, and of course to ignore the 'fads' that are in strength at that given moment. The sort of, like the above mentioned, barb-wire tat or other meaningless tat such as a sentence, in any language. These tats don't look good, no matter the font or how much you spice up the band of wire, and often will be something everyone will find ridiculous a few years down the track.

OH yes, while I remember, do NOT tattoo a name of a lover! Statistics are not on your side.

But yes, I find a well designed and thought out tat to be a thing of beauty.
