nuthing too out there like a full face tat but normal stuff like back or arms I consider normal.

Generally as a rule I dislike them. Why take something beautiful and slap ugly ass ink all over it? Same with chicks and facial piercings. If I wanted metal I would stick my dick in the exhaust of a car.
However my biggest problem comes from the fact they are just a fashion trend. Chicks get tramp stamps or tribal bullshit or asian text without even understanding what any of it means.
If you are going to get a tattoo then make it something personal to you. Not something you just picked out of the catalogue because it is trendy.

It might just be me, but I've generally found that tattoos on women are either a) hot or b) kinda freaky and weird, but also still pretty hot actually. Depending on the tattoo. And the woman.

tattoo is like clothing, its all in how you wear it. something that looks good on one person may not be attractive on someone else.

A tattoo on a girl is fine by me, unless it breaks one of my rules of tattoos, such as "trying too hard". A simple tattoo can be very cool, one that is just desperately trying to be cool is not and will never be.

Oh dear Lord I would love to see a man or a woman with tats everywhere.
Tats are an incredibly wonderful medium for a fascinating array of art. Obviously amateurs exist but some of the work I've seen is tantalizingly delicious, from Lovecraftian themes to Asian artwork that utilized the canvas brilliantly.

It may have been said already but still..

no matter how good the tat is or how hot the girl is who has had the ink done, two things will ALWAYS happen.

1 - Skin ages and eventually goes wrinkly and saggy. Thus a sweet looking tat will no longer be so hawt and

2 - Ink of tats fades with time. Nothing is ever truly permenant. The tat will degrade over the years unless re-inked.

So in all although it seems like a cool and trendy thing to have, the reality over time says otherwise

I find they're usually sexy, or add to her appeal. Allowing for content, of course.

i'm a girl with three huge tattoos and more planned for the future, so obviously i'm in favour. i'm hoping to be one of those inked neck-to-ankle kind of girls.

They look fine. Hell, they look awesome, as long as they're not ridiculous and were applied by someone with a decent level of artistic talent. This holds true for tattoos on both men and women. It's never really a separation I've bothered with. There are people with tattos and people without. Gender isn't involved.

I have seen alot of girls with star tatts on there neck/shoulder.

I prefer every succulent, and tender piece of skin to not have a tattoo.

Too many women I met in college cried while in college regretting that they got a tattoo because they regret the decision immediately.

I think tattoos on girls (of any kind, even the 'cutesy' small ones) look foul. Stop trying to look like a fat biker whose heyday was in the late 60's. It's just not sexy.

Up to the girls, shouldn't matter what other people think so long as you like it and won't regret it.

My current gf and ex have tattoo's. My gf's is on her foot, so isn't noticeable, but there is a story and reason behind the tattoo. Looks ok too.

Whereas my ex had a star on each wrist, again, there was a reason, but they just looked bloody terrible to be honest. =/

also dnt like them if they are like swaring or something .... a few of my female friends have some tatts of (flowers butterflies rainbow tc etc) and they look pretty nice

For me it depends on the girl. Personally I love the whole rock chick look (though most of the girls I like listen to metal instead of punk). If you have the right attitude and looks then a tattoo can be damn sexy (depending on what it is) but if you're just getting some silly design on your ankle that you're just doing for the hell of it then it's probably not really worth it. That's not to say that every tattoo should have some meaning behind it but anyway...

If you getting it for the right reasons then I say go for it, if you're just doing it because your friends have one (or more) then don't do something you might later regret - actually ignore that last bit, life's too short to not do whatever the hell you like. Go for it.

I mean, its not that offensive, but it does get on my nerves. And because it could be considered offensive. Such things do, actually, get under my skin. If someone said something like that to me in person, I'd give them a piece of my mind. That, or slap them.

Back to answering the OP: I don't judge people badly based on their having tattoos, but I rarely see one that I actually think improved the person's image.
I didn't mind the tattoo a student from my class got, though. Its a white tattoo of, "O homo fugit" on their forearm.

It deeply offends me that you consider yourself to be so important you feel your rightous indignation grants you the ability to physically assault someone.

Perhaps you hide behand the vale that because you're a girl you can slap guys all you want; and while you will refuse this notion; it is clearly your implication.

I do not like tattoos on woman.

As long as its not like horribly ugly or just stupid go ahead, tattoo is technically a form of art, be a good gallery for it.

I like small tattoos, or if they are bigger, still simple and not too showy.

A woman having a tattoo somewhere that is usually covered by clothing is kinda sexy, if you know it's there, even though it's covered.

What are you getting? Tattoos are awesome, as long as they are done properly. Make sure you have a good artist, that you love the design, not just like or think it will look neat, LOVE its going to be with you until they close the lid on the box. Make sure the placement is done right, serious after the stencil comes of take a minute to look at itr and make sure its doen right, artist wont mind placing it twice so get it right, if its off centre stenciled it will be off centre forever. Most imporetantly take care of it until its healed!!!!! follow the instructoins given bepanthen is a very good ointment to use for its nappy rash cream but works well.

As for tattoos on girls you kind of drew the short straw as a gender for tattoos as you have far fewer places that can be considered tasteful of even just easy for showing them off. But if your asking the opinon of tattooos on girls, "tramp stamps" that is the tattoos across the lower back in meaningless tribal are the most ugly things you can see on a woman. They belong only on sluts and pornstars :)

Depends where and what it is. Small tatoos aren't really much of an issue, but please keep your tatty bojangles clean. If I could feasibly be placing my lips on it during an intimate moment, I don't want a tatoo there: Necks, face, aforementioned jubblies, rear and inner things should all be kept as clean as possible.

I prefer clear skin anyway, I don't mind smaller tattoos but the HUGE ones like:

i like tats, i have several myself, as long as its something you can live with, the "tramp stamp" tatoo is pretty tastless and unimaginative, they can be sexy, or terrible depending on what they are, do they define you? gang tats and so on aren't cool tho, take an example such as Biff Naked, she has several tats and they accent her hottness... in the end it's up to you. if it makes you feel sexier then it probably will be sexy, if you think it makes you look scarier: then good luck... remember: marraiges are temporary: but tats: are forever

really depends on the chick, the tattoo, size and location. KAT from LA INK is damn sexy with all her tatts but another girl couldn't pull of the same tats, at the end of the day, what really matters is if YOU like it, and it makes YOU feel sexy.
